It seems inconceivable to me that a nation of 300 million cannot replace 545 people who stand convicted -- by present facts -- of incompetence and irresponsibility.

Last ten years, i trained different self defense sports. From Aikido, Boxing, Karate, kick-boxing and Jeet Kune Do. Last two years I have been training Krav Maga. My conclusion is that Krav Maga not only the best SD but it is an amazing art of counters and attack awareness.

Krav Maga is a mix from different SD techniques eclectic hand-to-hand combat system developed in Israel that involves striking techniques, wrestling and grappling, mostly known for its extremely efficient and brutal counter-attacks, and is taught to regular and special forces in Israel. Krav Maga has a philosophy emphasizing threat neutralisation, simultaneous defensive and offensive maneuvers, and aggression. Krav Maga is used by IDF Special Forces units and several closely related variations have been developed and adopted by law enforcement and intelligence organizations, Mossad and Shin Bet. There are several organizations teaching variations of Krav Maga internationally. I recommend Krav to anyone man or woman who is serious taking care of themselves. You dont have to be a strong or very fast. there are simple and effective techniques and easy to learn :flop:

Good video, reminded me of a Chuck Norris movie lol

Honestly I dont think ive ever practiced any Krav Maga at all or sparred with anyone who has.

Ive practiced Shotokan, Ju Jitsu, Boxing, Muay Thai, and MMA in general for close to 20 years. As far as defending ones self in a street fight per say Boxing would get most people by in most situations. Wrestling to keep people from tackling you to the ground. Throw some Ju Jitsu in case you go to the ground.

Or depending on how you want to fight and what your good at, learn some wrestling to take people down and Ju Jitsu to choke them out.

MMA is basically the new martial art in town. I think it even has its own belt system now. Its a combination of Boxing, Muay Thai, Wrestling, Akido and Ju Jitsu. It sharpens all aspects of the your game. It takes the best of each of the major martial arts and combines them. So no matter where you find yourself in a fight your comfortable and effective.

That being said your not gonna go into a MMA class and practice defending yourself from someone with a knife. But the skills you learn will definately not hurt in such a situation.

I would like to see a vid of Krav Maga with some live sparring. As in someone has a fake knife and they come at you for real.

Ive heard good things about Krav Maga in real self defense situations but OP I think you picked a bad vid. It reminds me of a rip off self defense class that teaches fancy choreographed martial arts moves. Im not knocking Krav Maga just your vid lol.

I think Krav Maga could be very useful in a life or death situation.

Subject: Wasp Spray

I know some of you own GUNS, but this is something to think about...---

If you don't have a gun, here's a more humane way to wreck someone's evil plans for you. Did you know this? I didn't. I never really thought of it before. I guess I can get rid of the baseball bat.

Wasp Spray - A friend who is a receptionist in a church in a high risk area was concerned about someone coming into the office on Monday to rob them when they were counting the collection. She asked the local police department about using pepper spray and they recommended to her that she get a can of wasp spray instead.

The wasp spray, they told her, can shoot up to twenty feet away and is a lot more accurate, while with the pepper spray, they have to get too close to you and could overpower you. The wasp spray temporarily blinds an attacker until they get to the hospital for an antidote. She keeps a can on her desk in the office and it doesn't attract attention from people like a can of pepper spray would. She also keeps one nearby at home for home protection. Thought this was interesting and might be of use.

On the heels of a break in and beating that left an elderly woman in Toledo dead, self defense experts have a tip that could save your life.
Val Glinka teaches self-defense to students at Sylvania Southview High School. For decades, he's suggested putting a can of wasp and hornet spray near your door or bed.
Glinka says, "This is better than anything I can teach them."
Glinka considers it inexpensive, easy to find, and more effective than mace or pepper spray. The cans typically shoot 20 to 30 feet; so if someone tries to break into your home, Glinka says "spray the culprit in the eyes". It's a tip he's given to students for decades.
It's also one he wants everyone to hear. If you're looking for protection, Glinka says look to the spray. "That's going to give you a chance to call the police; maybe get out." Maybe even save a life.
Please share this with all the people who are precious to your life
Did you also know that wasp spray will kill a snake? And a mouse! It will! Good to know, huh? It will also kill a wasp.!!!!

This is actually very true. Wasp spray will f someone up bad. And it sprays pretty far.
