They could not possibly be us in the future. Humans are too active and tall and muscular to turn into puny little shriveled up old people. In the future we will have an extra arm and eyes in the back of our head and be able to be the fly on the wall at will.

Actually prolonged exposure to space travel or zero gravity would cause our bodies to shrink and some limbs not to work. Our heads would grow bigger and be less proportioned to our bodies......but this couldn't happen to those on earth.
