keep in mind a cross does not kill alone! it takes a man to nail someone to it, so the cross did not kill him but a man did....

thats like saying a gun killed jfk and now all guns are offensive to me!!

never blame the weapon blame the men behind the weapon....

if they reused the nails then they probably reused the wood as well .
they definitely didn't buried anyone while still on the cross .
they where removing the nails ,take him of the cross and give the
corpse back to the family for proper burial .

I started a thread about this subject a while back. I just mention it here because of the similar tone. How is it the cross is revered, yet, the Swastika is demonized? Now I am not condoning the Nazis, or their beliefs and deeds, but many more people have died by the hands of people holding the cross then had been killed by the nazis. The crusades and spanish inquisition, come to mind. So how is it that it is still a symbol of the church? And loved and worshipped by billions of people today. Yet, if someone sees anything even resembling a swastika, they freak out and start calling for someones head on a platter. Quite Ironic in my opinion, that no-one feels the cross is offensive.

yeah you got a good point there. The swastika was a symbol well before it was recognised as Germanys emblem. Hmmm Ill have to look this up before I comment further.
