This picture was apparently put online weeks ago with a tagline of....

For your info Jamie Holmes, the Joker has green hair.

Its believed he was going for this look.

The Colorado bomb squad have done a controlled detonation of the killers flat, and are looking to gain entrance in the coming hours.

James Holmes flat is apparently a warzone, they can not even get in it as it is that full of trip wires and morters, and all kinds of possible chemical explosives. The police of Colorado have said they have never seen anything like it. It was all obviously meant for the cops to trigger upon a raid. (which mirrors events that happen in The Dark Knight) pulled off by the joker, who James Holmes was dressed as too. He also called himself "The Joker" when arrested without struggle by police.

This is one Nolan fan to far. :vomit:

It's been our focus to bring you only confirmed facts, not rumor or speculation, throughout the day since these events took place. Now after corroborating this information with multiple sources, it appears that the suspect had died his hair red and identified himself as "the Joker" to police when he was apprehended and taken into custody.

Furthermore, some more unsettling details have now emerged as to how the suspect gained access to the Exit doors in order to enter the theatre. Law enforcement sources state that the suspect had purchased a ticket to the midnight screening of THE DARK KNIGHT RISES. He entered the theatre and propped open the Exit door at the front right of the theatre. He then went back to his car where he retrieved all of his weaponry and body armor before his attack inside.

Christopher Nolan has released a statement early this evening:

"Speaking on behalf of the cast and crew of THE DARK KNIGHT RISES, I would like to express our profound sorrow at the senseless tragedy that has befallen the entire Aurora community. I would not presume to know anything about the victims of the shooting but that they were there last night to watch a movie. I believe movies are one of the great American art forms and the shared experience of watching a story unfold on screen is an important and joyful pastime. The movie theatre is my home, and the idea that someone would violate that innocent and hopeful place in such an unbearably savage way is devastating to me. Nothing any of us can say could ever adequately express our feelings for the innocent victims of this appalling crime, but our thoughts are with them and their families."

Well as expected the immediate changes have already been implemented, Via AICN.

The NYPD is increasing security wherever THE DARK KNIGHT RISES is playing. New York Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly stated at a briefing, "As a precaution against copycats and to raise the comfort levels among movie patrons in the wake of the horrendous shooting in Colorado, the New York City Police Department is providing coverage at theaters where the ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ is playing in the five boroughs.

Warner Bros. has decided to pull all TV spots for THE DARK KNIGHT RISES over the weekend.

AMC Theatres released a statement concerning the events and their security moving forward as well. "For the safety and security of our guests and associates, we are actively working with local law enforcement in communities through the nation and under the circumstances we are reaching out to all of our theaters to review our safety and security procedures."

AMC has since added to their security policy, now banning costumes and masks from future screenings. "We will not allow any guests into our theatres in costumes that make other guests feel uncomfortable and we will not permit face-covering masks or fake weapons inside our buildings."

Warner Brothers have had to retract a trailer for their upcoming movie Gnagster Squad, the trailer features a scene where a gunman shoots at a cinema crowd from behind a movie screen. As I type Hollywood is now looking at all of their respected properties and seeing if any similar instances can be found and edited out.

The same happened after 911 when a trailer for the original spiderman featured a helicopter being caught between the twin towers in webbing. Or the movie The Lord of the Rings The Two Towers was being considered for a name change, etc etc, the effect was vast and many movies were edited and changed as a result. Do not expect to see that scene from gangster squad to surface in the released movie.

Holllywood is now in panic mode, and the fallout has started because of this cowardly act.

Next stop gun laws!

As of the latest police press conference/briefing, the death toll remains at 12 deceased with 71 reported shot.

Police Chief Dan Oates confirmed that authorities are confidant the gunman acted alone, carrying an AR-15 assault rifle, a 40-caliber Glock handgun and a Remmington 12-gauge shotgun, with another 40-caliber Glock recovered in his vehicle.

Holmes surrendered without incident in the back of the theatre building near his vehicle, wearing a ballistics helmet and vest, tactical gloves, leggings, throat and groin protectors.

Police have found incendiary and chemical devices at Holmes' residence and apparent trip wires, and five buildings in the area have been evacuated.

The next press conference is scheduled for 9:00 p.m. EST.

Apparently the killer James Holmes was dressed as "The Joker" TDK. as well as wearing a bullet proof vest and gas mask, which to me indicates what I say below, he was dressed as Bane from the newest movie.

Regardless of who he was dressed as, this is going to change movie theatres forever now. Whether it be metal detectors or whatever, it is going to happen, the finger pointing has not yet started, but any moment now, and its going to explode.

Its horrible, but not for the graphic nature of the content, but because of those waiting outside the doors for friends that may never arrive. One man is seen being escorted by a police officer after having being shot in what looks like his shoulder. :cry:

Why fire on children ?, there were kids in there!!!!, the video even shows one young kid dressed as batman being looked over suspiciously.

Apparently the perp was wearing a bullet proof vest. I think it only a matter of time before its confirmed he was dressed like this to blend in...

Apparently some people were still in the theatre waiting for the movie to continue in absolute shock. Words can not describe how terrifying it must have been. One woman had a gun put to her head and apparently the perp (believed to be James Holmes) got distracted before pulling the trigger and she got away.

He apparently opened fire on those trying to escape, and the crowd had no choice but to run back in and hide while he walked up and down the aisles shooting at random at those hiding under the seats.

This is a seriously tragic and terrible event carried out by a coward.

This post is not to go into the details as they are more than apparent at this time, news is even reporting that the perpetrators flat, is heavily booby trapped too.

THIS POST IS ABOUT THE EVENTUAL FALLOUT THIS EVENT IS GOING TO HAVE.

If you look at the marketing campaign for The Dark Knight Rises, it has the tagline "RISE". Sometimes its used briefly and simply placed upon the background of the burning bat image.

My instincts tell me that this person is some kind of NWO freak, who has taken some kind of message that was never intended from the marketing.

Here is a little background on the rabid fan base on the run up to The Dark Knight Rises release, there were advanced reviews about 2 days ago, and some were negative, this sparked one of the single most intense and brutal mass media campaigns against those who disliked the movie. So much so that the movie critc meta data site "Rotten Tomatoes" had to shut down its commenting page on the movie, which was (unprecedented) the reason being that the critics were being sent death threats and extremely vile and nasty messages. It was a coordinated attack by a rabid fan base. (Which I assume now are regretting their actions) This made the news all over the internet days ago. This tragedy is not going to help their case. Although this event appears to have been planned out well in advance.

Here is what I believe will happen in the coming days and weeks.

Movies are going to hit the media circus, there are going to be intense calls for the monitoring of motion picture violence, more calls to see if movies and the like can influence and hasten the psychotic tendencies of some of earths most damaged goods.

The media will inflame the need for censorship and restrictions on film making. They will indeed sift the plot of TDKR and try to correlate it to this tragedy.

This has happened many times, most notably for CHILDS PLAY 3 after Jamie Bulger was murdered by two young boys, in circumstances that only vaguely matched things in the film.

The next witch hunt will be on, and I believe that all movie goers/fans are going to suffer greatly because of it.

All press and red carpet walk ons have been cancelled by Warner Brothers, and I would imagine that Christopher Nolan (director) and cast and crew are absolutely mortified at this, especially after the events over the last 3 days.

This is the worst thing that could have happened, for all, except Warner Brothers. This will propel TDKR into the stratosphere in terms of Box Office, as was the previous film in the trilogy The Dark Knight, which was bolstered by the morbid curiosity after its star Heath Ledger died before it was finished.

I have a terrible feeling that the perp behind this was some kind of NWO believing nut job, that took a message that was never meant in terms of the real world, but then took it, and killed many many people as they sat defenceless in a theatre, waiting to enjoy what is the most anticipated movie of the year.

There is a movie along these lines though, but it ain't TDKR. Its called... "We Need To Talk About Kevin".

Its similarities are unnerving to this event, at least as the details stand at this moment.

Its a very sad day to be a movie fan, and even worse if you are a batfan. :cry:

My thoughts are with the families and all those effected by this mindless tragedy.

EDIT. Expect copycats. It always happens.

How to reduce the effect.

Do not start the news with headlines flashing and sirens blazing.

Do not constantly show the face of the perp and run the story on 24/7 roll out.

Do not run and run the story, as that itself is the biggest component to copycats acting out.

The proximity to columbine where this event took place is most likely no coincidence at all.

The media will precede to make the perp famous and neglect the victims affected, this is the nature of rolling news. They go with the most interesting part of the stories, and run with it.

Usually within 2 weeks of an event like this you get another, and it usually the news media that help grease it into existence.

(sigh) all you have to do now, is turn on your news channels and see how extensive and all consuming this has become. There will without doubt be copycats, especially now a president has chimed in on the events.

With stores like this, there should be reduced coverage to reduce the probably fallout of copycats getting those 15 mins of fame ideas themselves.
