On Tuesday, a dead sperm whale was found floating in the Gulf of Mexico 77-miles south of the Deepwater Horizon spill site.
The 25-foot whale carcass was not found in oiled waters and Unified Command officials are not sure yet if the whale died because of the oil spill.
The news release said it is impossible to confirm whether exposure to oil was the cause of death. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration is testing to determine from where the carcass may have drifted.
The Unified Command Wildlife Branch and NOAA received "numerous reports" of sperm whale seen swimming in oil-filled waters. But this is the first confirmed report of a dead whale since the spill began two months ago.
NOAA said it remains concerned as sperm whales are endangered. The release noted that sperm whales live at depth in areas where dispersants and oil are present and feed on deepwater squid that could also have been affected by the oil and dispersants.

I feel there will be some casualties but we shall see.I doubt the mainstream news will be reporting on such deaths.
I have to say Jones that as much as it pains me there will be a lot of deaths of the native sea life, it makes me sad that the assholes who run these companies will be sitting in their mansions only giving a shit about the hit their profits are going to take not caring about the environmental damage they have done...
Did you hear Dave Cameroon on radio 2 yesterday, man that guy sucks balls... everytime he mentioned BP he followed it with "which is an important company". and any conversation debated by politios seems to centre on monetary recuperation rather than the evironmental disaster that the wildlife will have to deal with for decades...

Yeah you think Cameron is bad,you should be watching that piece of work Tony Hayward getting grilled in the US.Wow this guy is top drawer scumbag!!...I think they are back at 7pm UK time for more questions, which is pretty pointless as the arrogant elitist has made it clear he aint going to answer ANY questions,he just keeps repeating 'i was not part of the decision making process' - he's not part of the decision making process even though he has 28 years experience in the oil industry and is the CEO f#ck me!!

NOAA said that it is still too early to determine the reason for death. I'll go out on a limb and say it is due to the blow-out. There will be too many more creatures of the Gulf that suffer, and die, most will never be seen.
I wonder what results will get released to the public, old age, natural death, or maybe it choked on a chicken wing. We'll see what shat NOAA spews out, they can't be trusted either.

fucking sad man, I really feel so bad for those animals, if I had enough money to help clean up or do something I would help I just don't know what I can do.

Thanks for the clarification on this. I haven't been able to find any info on mutation of the microbes.
