Doctors Baffled, Intrigued by Girl Who Doesn't Age
Years Pass, but Brooke Greenberg Remains a Toddler.
No One Can Explain How or Why.
By BOB BROWN, June 23, 2009

Brooke Greenberg is the size of an infant, with the mental capacity of a toddler.
She turned 16 in January.

At about 16 pounds and 30 inches, 16-year-old Brooke Greenberg has not aged significantly, physically or apparently cognitively, since she was a toddler. Doctors hope that her case could shed light on the mysterious genetics behind aging.

"Why doesn't she age?" Howard Greenberg, 52, asked of his daughter. "Is she the fountain of youth?"

If the fountain of youth leaves me in a crib unable to speak, move or learn..

I wont have none of it.

sad shit...what if shes developed INSIDE her mind?
Now THAT is some scary premise right there folks..

I was in a hospital bed with an alert brain, in an induced coma that didnt take fully,
and i can tell you without a doubt, i know what hell is.

Being stuck with your own mind and nothing else..

hell.

Yea but if they could learn to 'freeze' aging like the girl here, then basically you could stop at any age you wanted to.

If you help the Oppressors, eventually you and your family will be oppressed.

It happens all the time to one degree or another, in one form or another.
There are those who emotionally stopped growing, mentally stopped growing, and this girl who stopped growing physically.
They are all forms of retardation.
Take Mep for example, he stopped emotional development at age 11, and mental development shortly thereafter, but I bet he physically appears to be an adult.
There are also those whose development in any of the three categories is accelerated.

Let’s hope they never manage to freeze the aging process, I don’t think it would make for a better world to have Mep live forever. >that sent a shiver down my spine<
Science is truth, God is truth, therefore

God is Science.

Interesting read. Its sounds like some parts of her body are aging while others are not. Which basically means she'll likely have the same problems with mortality we all do BUT somewhere within her are important keys to life extension.

The sooner we can shed religious dogma and the acceptance of a short lifespan, the sooner we can get on with living to 500 or 1000. Humans are forced to accept biological limitations which basically hamstring our true cognitive potential. Think of having not one but several careers, think of the problems you could solve if you had several lifetimes to think about them, think of the art, movies! Switching the whole lifespan paradigm would force us to evolve beyond all of our current limitations, including getting off this rock.

I would LOVE to meet a 1000 year old and have a conversation...of course, I'd be just a baby in his eyes ;)

Sometimes truth is really stranger than fiction. I've heard of bodies not deteriorating after death, but to not age while alive is a stunner. I wonder if they are related somehow?
