Genetically engineered tomatoes could help reduce heart disease, according to a new study.
Researchers found that when fed to mice the 'Frankenstein' salad fruit decreased plaque build-up in the lab animals.
It is the first time genetically engineered tomato plants have produced a peptide that mimics the actions of good cholesterol when eaten.

I doubt it , at the end of the day gmo's create foreign annomalys in foods human digestion dont handle foreign bodys well its been proven gastro infections and some ilnesses are created by gmo's i dont see how messing with natural food is going to help the human race in anyway in the short term you see results but longterm that mouse will suffer, like those rats that ate gmo corn then grew cancers and died of various organ failures due to eating gmo's.
