This might not be the greatest speech of all time, but I think it might be the best of 2012. No doubt it is partially inspired by Chaplain's Great Dictator.

And notice, he doesn't want soldiers to stop fighting, he just wants them fighting for his cause - worldwide communism. And this is the greatest speech ever made? Hardly. But, I guess, some people hear "kindness", "gentleness" and an "end to greed" and never stop to think how he intends to make that happen. Look at Pol Pot's example.

sorry but i cant agree with you on that. he wants them to fight for liberty, fight for freedom. stand up against the greedy who rule this world. would a one world government be so bad?YIKES!!! :ohno: if we had a leader who had purest of hearts. Never happen....POWER CORRUPTS...ABSOLUTE POWER CORRUPTS ABSOLUTLY... a leader who cared for nothing but the people. a leader who would rather starve then let millions of children die of malnutrition. if all of man could live as one and end war would that not be the way. we must rise up against the wicked in order to settle a future of peace. however the wicked in man must first pass....

In a perfect idealistic world Utopia?? it would have possibilities......unfortunately, we will never live in such a place Yuuuup! :flop:

Utopia (/juːˈtoʊpiə/) is an ideal community or society possessing highly desirable or perfect qualities. The word was coined in Greek by Sir Thomas More for his 1516 book Utopia, describing a fictional island society in the Atlantic Ocean. The term has been used to describe both intentional communities that attempt to create an ideal society, and fictional societies portrayed in literature. It has spawned other concepts, most prominently dystopia.

If you want a good benchmark of socialism take a look at life in the military or the police.

All you soo against communism, I invite you to look on your so called "democracy" and ponder.

Is it truly a "democracy" or a wolf in sheeps clothing?

No country presently has true democracy on this planet. NONE.
SKEPTIC - One who instinctively or habitually doubts, questions, disagrees with assertions or generally accepted conclusions.
And tries to prove these assertions/claims with scientific facts.

Ha. And More choose the word Utopia because it also sounds like "eutopia", which means "No Place" in greek. So the double meaning acknowledges that it doesn't exist.

No, we do not have a democracy, thankfully.

Bestest Speech ever

Ladles and Jellyspoons,

I come before you, to stand behind you,
To tell you something I know nothing about.
Next Thursday, which is Good Friday,
There will be a mothers' meeting for fathers only.
Admission is free, pay at the door,
Pull up a seat and sit on the floor.
We will be discussing the four corners of the round table.

Author: Unknown

edit. Author Unknown writes a lot of good stuff

This may be true. But this pseudo-democracy is a far better form of government than "true" communism/socialism could ever aspire to be.
