Excellent post and some very interesting points there stone...I agree hemp should be used more now just like ''the good old days'' :D but looking at some of them quotes it's obvious this has been pushed out for some reason unknown to us...Whether it did get pushed out to contribute to the damage of our planet remains to be seen....I also think that if governments got there act together they could legalize the female thc bearer for the benefit of the economy...My method to this madness is the fact that nearly everybody i know smokes green trees,'' yes smoking green bud can have negative effects for you if you abuse it but so can smoking in general'' and as for alcohol ,well i'll say no more, just ask doctors how busy they are in A&E at the weekend...They could push the drug dealers back onto the class A drugs to sell giving police more time and resources to catch them while making a healthy profit for schools and the nhs to fullfill potential by having much more funding while saving on police resources not bothering to chase the odd spliff head down....The pro's outweigh the cons for me on this subject as it would also stop teenagers wanting a spliff more due to the fact it's not illegal ...If smoking a spliff is illegal then why is not smoking illegal simple really....I know smoking is getting banned in public places but they still take the tax on sales and what makes me laugh is the smoking ban in pubs, where that is having a knock-on effect on the economy even in my small town... Whats up with having smoking pubs and non-smoking pubs simple really considering you have to be 18+ to be in a public house enabling us to be old enough to make our own minds up that way taxi drivers, barmaids and brewery workers wouldn't be losing there jobs left right and centre...Really baffles me the way they make politics confusing when alls they have to do is get off there backsides and ask the public simple questions that would lead to simple legislations oh man don't start me off :bang; ....

or stoned -69?

see the second name makes me think of some really cheezy porn flick guy with a large....... spliff....and in an exuberant numerical postion!! ;)

sorry

anyway

yes I agree with Cornbread on this one- couldnt say it any better

excuse my ignorance, but why is it illegal? I mean alcohol is not exactly good for us, nor is nicotine......

and if hemp doesnt get you high- whats the problem?

here in the bahamas its totally common place- smell it everywhere you go
in fact the rastas selling nuts on the street sell nuts and 'irie nuts'! (if you get me)

Check the post about screen names and you'll get the user name story.

Oh and as for the porn thing, I would go broke!!!

I don't sit home and smoke all day as some would see it. I have a family and wife to support. I guess you could call it social use. I have always preferred to take a couple of tokes, instead of drinking, much like someone may come home and have a glass on wine. I don't like the total loss of control that comes with drinking. Cannabis has a relaxing effect, it's hard to explain. I have never stumbled blindly to my car, fumbled for the keys, started it and drove home, to come to, in my driveway wondering how I got home, after smoking a joint. In my youth there were many nights I had this happen from drinking. It's not something I am proud of, but still a fact. I have never done any hard drugs and never had an urge to. I am not saying everyone should try it, or like it, but for me it works.

I wonder if hemp wasn't such a threat to those companies mentioned in the first link, would cannabis be illegal. I truly don't think so.

At the very least decriminalize it. Grow industrial hemp. Don't believe the lies. The courts and jails are over run with non-violent 'drug" offenders.

I find it so shocking that the corrupt few behind the conspiracy to demonise hemp have had such a potentially huge imact on the human race for the sake of personal profit. May they burn in hell.

I believe the other reason it was dropped as such a mainstream crop is that no one ever created a machine to harvest it mechanically - it was traditionally stripped by hand, obviously a labour intensive process and why this blog talks about it not being 'industrialised'. I could be wrong but im sure i heard that in a documentary about this i saw a while back.
Seen it all before in the kindegardens of the Universe.
It would be quaint if it wasn't so damned scary.
I can't listen and i can't watch
I can see inside the machine
I can see the join, i can see the join

I do remember that they did come up with a machine, just as they were outlawing hemp.

I found this quickly with google.

I'll try to find the other link I was talking about.

those chemicals are worse if you ask me....think about it, we have no clue what goes into half the stuff 'prescribed' by doctors....how it affects us....never mind the chemical junk in half our food or candies we give to our children...

it is frustrating how collectively ignorant blind and asleep we seem to be.....how seduced by advertising and marketing....to then be afraid of so many things yet, like good little children swallow our medicine of flouride, herbicides, msgs etc etc and thats just the tip of the iceberg....(lettuce)

i dont smoke much- i tend to have pretty wild trips....balls of light coming from my hands, angels etc....or heavy paranoia.....my man does from time to time and i like the small amount of contact i get....but to demonise it, and take away our choice?

It doesnt make any sense.

@ stone- yeah i read how you got your name- just think the porn king idea is a tad bit more exotic ;)

oh\
and btw
a friend accused me that my writing was like a dopehead, because I jump from one theme to another then tie them all together. But after watching the video i posted here before, where the 'scientist' recognised that it is that ability to connect disparate things that is what is recognised as genius....i wonder.....
id love to do an experiment
my man gets a lot of his writing done and inspiration whilst he is high...is there a connection then? Between the state induced by a joint and artistic brilliance?
