I have always had a fascination with caves, I guess because im a troll, however.....

What follows are known to be the oldest cave paintings in the world (to date) they are also "incredibly" the most detailed and artistic of any cave paintings. They are simply incredible.

Access is strictly forbidden to the caves, and you have to get special clearance, with good reason, the images are easily damaged. And are being protected at all costs. Look out for Werner Herzog's upcoming documentary Cave of Forgotten Dreams...

What follows are the paintings made by early man/woman.

Werner Herzog's documentary is out later in the year.
