An interesting interview that indicates the possible collusion between all existing (regulating and policy setting) banks- in this world wide scandal. A world wide cartel- indeed.
So, is it just going to fall to the wayside? Is this considered over, and done with- with one resignation- or will it continue to fall like a house of cards? Let's hope for the latter. It seems to be up to some white hats in Great Britain- to continue pushing the issue. Do it to it, old chaps!!!!
Seems that in America, all hands in the banking industry cookie jar scheme- from the ones from on high, the expansive list of bought and paid for politicians, their aides (who tell them what to do,
) the lawmakeers, and the cabals contingent of lawyers, judges, the media, etc., are in it waist deep- and higher.
What to do? What to do? Awwww. Just ignore it, someone will fix it, right?
"Tell the rabble to be quiet, we anticipate a riot...."

In the UK, facing the worst austerity measures for a long time, the Government keep telling us 'We're all in it together' ... Maybe they are telling the truth, In a round-about way.
It's all just political playmanship.. No real conviction to uncover the truth. In my opinion, The UK government and the Bank of England are as much to blame as the banks..
This has got to make you smile

Attempts by George Osborne to pin the blame for the Libor fixing scandal on former Labour ministers seem to be undermined after deputy Bank of England governor Paul Tucker told MPs that he had not been leaned on to encourage Barclays to cut its rates.
Tucker, a candidate to succeed Mervin King as Bank governor, said that he did not discuss Libor with Ed Balls or Baroness Shriti Vadera during October 2008. Tucker also denied he had personally lent on Barclays to reduce its Libor submission.
Tucker was brought into the Libor scandal after Barclays published a memo which was interpreted by one insider as encouraging the bank to cut its Libor submissions at the behest of "senior Whitehall figures". Hours after that memo was published last Tuesday, the chancellor told the Spectator that allies of Gordon Brown were "clearly involved" in attempts to manipulate the Libor rate. He added that Balls had "questions to answer".
Balls on Monday called on Osborne to withdraw his claims and apologise. "It is now absolutely clear that the Chancellor's allegations last week were totally false and completely without foundation. George Osborne should now publicly withdraw these false allegations and apologise. With the economy in a double-dip recession and our banks in need of serious reform, the country needs a Chancellor who works full-time in the national economic interest," said Balls.
In his appearance before MPs on the Treasury select committee, Tucker was asked repeatedly whether he had been asked by officials or ministers – and specifically Vadera – about whether he had been asked to lean on Barclays. "Absolutely not," Tucker replied.
Chris Leslie MP, Labour shadow financial secretary, said: "The game is up for George Osborne. This is now the final nail in the coffin of the Tory smear campaign the Chancellor led last week. It is now crystal clear that the allegations he threw around were completely wrong and without foundation".

A CRIMINAL investigation has been launched into alleged rigging of the Libor rate within the banking industry, the Serious Fraud Office (SFO) confirmed today.
SFO director David Green QC formally accepted the Libor issue for investigation after Barclays was fined by the Financial Services Authority (FSA) last week for manipulating the key interbank lending rate which affects mortgages and loans.
The claims ultimately led to the resignation of Barclays boss Bob Diamond and have become the focal point of a fierce political debate over ethics in the banking sector.
The investigation could ultimately lead to criminal prosecutions and bankers facing charges in court.
The SFO's update came after it revealed earlier this week that it had been working closely with the FSA during its investigation and would consider the potential for criminal prosecutions.
The Government department, which is responsible for investigating and prosecuting serious and complex fraud, said on Monday the issues surrounding Libor were "complex" and that assessing the evidence would take time.

Yes, Shroom. Good post.
Probably the SFO and the FSA as well.
It's the same here in the U.S. There are so many hands in the cookie jar, from so many factions, that trying to shed light onto, into it, is like huffing and puffing and blowing down a steel framed structure. Neither has much chance of success.

Great post Hawk.. I completely agree
Bob Diamond Refused his £20m bonus and got some very good PR; at the same time he accepted his £2m redundancy. He should have been sacked for Gross Misconduct and not recieved a penny.
But on a lighter note... J/k

ALL BANKS INVOLVED- mean nothing to people????........I guess?????
WTF????
I just don't get it. I really don't.
I can only speak for myself, but i can feel this shit is going on without looking at it. I give all of it a glance. I somehow feel like,. yeah this is probably true. Fuckers.
Seeing all the bulshit they feed us and now seeing some "truth" for the last years made me imune to negativity in a way. I am not longer naive. But i do stay positive.
I read these posts, take it in. And continue on my path for self evolving. To me the only change i can make is spread "love". Sounds cheesy maybe but still. This is how i feel i can make a difference.

I deleted the larger part of my post- too harsh. I was just sitting here, reading shit, and getting pissed off. My post made it seem that I was putting some kind of blame here, or being accusatory, which was not the case, or intention- by any means.
You can retract the "Great post Hawk."
I'm not sure which part you were j/k about, though. lol
And yeah, Serious. I know. I think what you're doing is definitely a good thing.
I try to stay positive, and not let the negativity get to me, but sometimes,... it's just damned difficult to achieve.
Who am I kidding anyway? I hope that I can always hang onto humor. I need it, and it does help, I think.
