The Jews (one of the 12 tribes of Israel) were called "chosen" because it is through their lineage that God chose to send the messiah. They were entrusted, unwittingly, with the preservation of the messianic prophesy.
If you believe that the messiah is Jesus i.e. Yeshua, then scripture and prophesy has ended. If you don't, and you are Jewish, then you are still waiting. If you are still waiting, then why has the propeshy and the scripture stopped?
