The USA & now North Wales UK ?

Just to set this up a little - I was in my backroom on Friday night just passed, when my attention was drawn to a bright light in the corner of the window.

Stopped what I was doing & raced outside with a camera to grab a shot of this thing, it appeared at first as a dot then when I went outside this dot appeared to be 'floating' away from where I'd originally sighted it. Far to slow to be anything like a lantern, plane, or anything in orbit like a satellite (which I originally though it might be). This thing appeared to be blinking on & off giving the impression that it was going away from then coming back but at the same time maintaining its course. Now it was moving slowly enough for me to shoot some pictures & some video on my girlfriends Samsung S760 digital camera.

Now I'm no photography expert & in my slight panic at catching this object before it was gone I was just firing off pictures on all the cameras various settings & trying to capture as much video as possible. Took was to many pictures of this thing at first & not enough video I think, it was very difficult though as typically the batteries were being eaten & started to fail forcing me to turn the camera back on between shot & video capture so I lost a little time doing this.

To be honest I really didn't know what I was witnessing so I just pointed & clicked. The voice in my head was saying 'this cant be anything out of the ordinary, your to interested in the subject matter to ever see anything' & this plagued me as the object appeared to float off out to be sea where I lost sight of it. The whole episode took around 15 minutes I'd say, give or take a minute or so. All of the pictures & videos I took are time stamped & dated for authenticity. One other thing I should mention is in my haste to capture a 'good' image I turned the camera colour setting off & it went to black & white so some of my video & shots are in black & white. I also tried to get the building close to me in my shots for reference which is what you can see in the bottom of some of my shots where it shows 'the dot'.

Ok so after all this I rush back inside to see what I've captured & in one of my images I see what appears to be the same sort of thing people have bee photographing in Dublin (Texas), Stephenville & Nevada recently. It kind of took my breath away because I'd been following these cases & was genuinely interested in what these people were seeing, photographing & capturing on video. The object in these cases appears to be almost organic but capable of such speed that in a single frame they have moved huge distances in almost a instant. These are just a few examples of this phenomenon there are a few more & I'm going to save on image in particular from Dublin Texas for direct comparison of my own images.

I should also mention I had a good friend of mine who is very much into image analysis as a hobby examine what I'd taken so I will present his results of my images aswell. Will present 3 of the 'best' images from the bunch then I will present the enhanced versions of these pictures for comparison

OK so here is a image of the 'dot' as it appeared to my originally as I was starring out my window & this is how the object appears to the naked eye -

Not a amazing picture I know but this is to help get a idea of that I was witnessing, what you can see in the lower part of the frame is a chimney & part of a fence plus the roof of a neighbors building. This image is also enhanced & you can see the details I refer to here alot more clearly here -

Is it just me or does the object I've captured appear to be similar ? If you know anything about this or if you know alot about photography & can explain this away as some sort of digital camera effect please do so I'm open to all opinions & please if you have any questions fire away.

As for the video I have shot, it isn't very good in its present form so I'm giving it to a editor to have the image stabilized & enhanced then I will present it as soon as its been completed.

can any admins help me out with this as I say my photo editing & knowledge is a bit limited ? For some reason teh link photos I provided have also dissapered ?

I would put them in photobucket and resize them. its a free photo site. It's really easy
