When i was a kid, I dreamed of places like this, saw them in movies. I remember when in most sci-fi novels the money was called "credits" and the like.

Now I despise the idea. Take this example...

Where's that cool little coffee place, or that crazy part of town where the strange people are, or the art center. What are we inspired by, because I can assure you that after a few weeks, this city shape would wear off. Where would you go that didn't look the same? It's arty, but I once lived in a nice 17 floor building with identical parks, apartments. Sometimes the only difference between my house and some one else was the furniture.

life isn't about this, although it looks pretty in concept. It's about human experiences, and sometimes this means experiences with the unknown, and the not-so-clean, and the diversity which comes from free thinking within and throughout a culture.

I believe in a future. But not this globalized homogeneous version. Let's keep that in comic books.
