I think a lot of the cinematic aspect was lost with the public departure/firing of one of the greatest film directors ever, Frank Darabont. However, the character development has certainly improved since.
Looks good, and having read all of the comic books, the storyline with The Governor and the prison is one of the strongest in the entire run. Believe me, it gets brutal and epic. Wonder if they can follow through on it.
On a related note, I read the latest much hyped issue of the walking dead comic yesterday. Issue 100, and boy that was one unpleasant and uncomfortable read.

Trailer is really amazing. Looking forward to the Season 3. I am so getting curious after watching the trailer...........
