That is one extremely inefficient way to get your point across.

Feel bad for the guy.
Hope he got what he wanted out of that.

PORTLAND, Ore. -- The father of a man who died after setting himself on fire in downtown Portland says his son was mentally troubled and living on the streets.

Authorities say 26-year-old Daniel Shaull, of Dodge City, Kan., died Wednesday shortly after setting himself on fire near a downtown fur store.

According to witnesses, Shaull doused himself with gasoline and then lit the fuel while he stood outside the Portland furrier Nicholas Ungar Furs

His father, Warren Shaull, tells The Oregonian newspaper that his son arrived in Portland last week and was suicidal when he left Kansas.

Shaull says his son called home Wednesday to ask for a sleeping bag and money, saying it was cold on the streets at night.

Portland Police Chief Rosie Sizer says an officer who was attempting to help the man accidentally sprayed him with pepper spray.

Sizer says the officer spotted the man in flames Wednesday in downtown Portland and hurried to get a fire extinguisher from the trunk of her patrol car.

Instead, Sizer says, she accidentally grabbed a large can of pepper spray, colored red like an extinguisher. :bang; :bang; :bang;

:banana: Portland fire officials say the nonflammable spray had no additional effect on the man. :dancing:

Although the fur store has been the site of numerous protests, Shaull says his son's act was not political.

He says his son was mentally ill and tired of living.

The Portland Anti-Fur Campaign said in an email “we do not know who this person was nor do we know what his intentions were” but also added that “It is really unfortunate that one would feel as if they must take such drastic measures, yet, this Fur Store has continued their bloody business despite protests outside for 3 years now.”

lmao

Too much messing with the chakras and drawing on the Kundalini. See what can happen Kerr when you delve into energies too much. :D I bet this opened his third eye enough to see that this was more painfully physically enlightening the spiritually. Someone aught to make a reel of this and other self combustibles, combine them with this soundtrack below, and post it as a warning as a way not to try to find enlightenment. There is also a myriad of other ways to stay warm. Try nuzzling up to a nice soft female. It helps.

actually they need to test the pepperspray that they sprayed him with. most cans will say that they are OC safe. while a police unit did an independent test on products that said they were safe ( from use with tazers as well, as there was an incident with using tasers after spraying pepperspray) I think the test went something like they tested 48 of them and 12 of them were safe and non flammable... some scary stuff when you have a company putting it out there and say it isn't flammable.
