Tiger Woods: Injuries Caused by Wife, Not SUV

Tiger Woods did not suffer facial lacerations from a car accident. They were inflicted by his wife, Elin Nordegren -- according to a conversation Woods had Friday after the accident.

Tiger has yet to be formally interviewed by the Florida Highway Patrol -- that should happen this afternoon. But we're told Tiger had a conversation Friday -- with a non-law enforcement type -- detailing what went down before his Escalade hit a fire hydrant.

We're told he said his wife had confronted him about reports that he was seeing another woman. The argument got heated and, according to our source, she scratched his face up. We're told it was then Woods beat a hasty retreat for his SUV -- but according to our source, Woods says his wife followed behind with a golf club. As Tiger drove away, she struck the vehicle several times with the club.

Police Chief Daniel Saylor said two Windermere police officers were the first to arrive on the scene.

"There was Tiger Woods laying on the ground in front of the vehicle with his wife over him rendering first aid," he told reporters.

"He was in and out of consciousness with lacerations to his upper and lower lip," Saylor said. "He was mumbling but didn't say anything coherent."

Woods' wife, Elin Nordegren, told the police she was inside the house when she heard the accident. She said she went outside and used a golf club to break out the rear window of the vehicle, then pulled him from the SUV.

"According to the officers, yes, she was very upset," he said in response to a question.

But, he added, "Things like this happen all the time ... I understand he's stable and he's fine."

About 10 minutes later, Orange County fire and rescue arrived and took him to Health Central Hospital, where he was treated and released, he said.

The crash remains under investigation and charges were pending, the police report said. It also noted the accident was not alcohol-related.

The SUV, which was drivable, was towed and state troopers didn't take pictures of the scene, she said.

Saylor said the vehicle's front end was damaged.

in one of my wifes gossip mags from early this month, maybe last week..it identified a woman Tiger was supposedly caught with.

Shes hot, and doesnst look as crazy as the model wife..
so im giving it a 65% chance its true.

She went nuts..he was looped on pain pills, got out of the house so he didnt go all domestic on her..and she chased him out of the house and down the driveway with a golf club....swinging like John Daley.

She took out that back window, and he went to get out, thinkin wtf, and the car kept going, withhim in it and whammo.'

The rest of the story of her being over him reviving him etc..pure crap for the press...to cover.

The story will get blown open later this week im betting.

So 65% its the real deal.
