:ohno: Remember that comet in 1995 or 1996 that was visible for a number of days ? It was a newly  discovered one and it wasn't predicted as a long time coming event so it was a fairly new discovery. Well that comet sped up Earths time in the smallest of increments. I heard public service announcements on the radio at that time, aired by the national geological society (i am not sure as to the exact wording for the name to that government research organization, but close enough) about the comet affecting Earth's time, and to inquire at that agency to get the details on how much time had changed, and the mechanics of just how it happened. Also, the terrible tsunami in Sumatra sped time up because of the wobble it created in the Earths rotation . It is also prophesy that God would speed time up in the last days :nails: for our sake so that our suffering would not be prolonged. I have always  felt that time has passed at different speeds :headscratch: at certain times of Earth's history.
Science is a series of corrected mistakes.

Private, you must dig from this reference point till the evening.

The Mayan calender talks about the quickening process. From 1999 to 2011, we will have the same amount of change as the amount of change that occured from 1750 to 1999. From 2011-2012 we will have the same amount of change in one year that we had from 1750 to 1999. Tim will really speed up in 2011.

Yes Cydonia, the Vedic culture also speaks of this, amongst others. The key word here is change, and change will become infinite. It is a rare opportunity, one to be taken advantage of. The acceleration of big changes we are going through are the meat and potatoes, so to speak, and cannot be debated. Climax is on the horizon, and so we should enjoy the journey as we move into it.

M. Kaku did a series for Discovery Channel called "Time" It was very interesting. One thing that stood out was that the faster your metabolism, the slower time seemed to be. As we get older into our senior years, our bodies slow down and the time seems to fly by. I personally feel like my last 10 years were only a few months in passing. I need to live to at least 200 because I feel like my understanding is expanding and I can't learn enough and I see the world with new eyes and I don't want to miss a thing.
When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.

just thought I'd mention that...
Time is relative to speed, and the solar system is currently accellerating towards the galactic equator. The flow of time for all objects within our solar system is actually slowing down relative to a hypothetical fix galactic position. This will reverse after 2012. :flop:

Perhaps the title of this subject is a little misleading at first. I came across some cookie crumbs that are relevant to this discussion, and may shed some light on the situation at hand to others. This is a great historical event that I believe everyone should be aware of.

gabriel892 wrote:Its not that simple. Its not an obvious time speed, the episode of familyguy still lasts 30 minutes, it just that (e.g.) - 30 minutes doesnt feel as long as 30 minutes use to be,ya digg?

The answers in that quote its got nothing to do with time speeding up or slowing down it is just youre perspective, Even if time was slowing down or speeding up why would anyone notice its not as if any of us exist out of time. Also time has been speeding up since it started but this is happening at a constant , The universe expands and time space accelerates.

You seem to have found a site that pretty much sums up my current understanding of the 2012 point. Imminentize the Eschaton!
