I would love to see the original image or the original scan, that's the only way to really test for a fake. I've seen lots of pics like this before from effects company collections, till someone produces an original it's just awesome effects work in my mind.

Considering the claim of this being a pic from 1947....I have to say fake. Theres no way in hell this could be a picture from 1947 (I know some cell phones that couldn't take a picture that good today lol). Looks like a hoax to me. When the actual background story doesn't hold up to scrutiny..its the sign of a hoax.
