This movie kicks all kinds of ass, see it now!

Is anyone here familiar with the single greatest Manga of all time, AKIRA ?

Well the director of CHRONICLE sure as hell is, this movie could be retitled AKIRA and people would pretty much say yeah, that is AKIRA. In fact I am sure this is better than what the upcoming live action adaptation of AKIRA will be, entire sequences and sets are taken directly from it. Any AKIRA nut will spot these, and there are plenty to be found. There is much to be said about the AKIRA aspect, but whatever the case, it is well done indeed, regardless of the inevitable comparisons that are coming and possible lawsuits, CHRONICLE delivers.

There is not a bad performance in it, it is a found footage movie that is free of the constraints of a found footage movie, because the premise allows for there to be camera movement that no human could ever achieve, and they will wow you!. With a finale that is pretty epic.

See this film, you will go in expecting something for kids and come out thinking fuck I wish there was an AKIRA movie with the same director as this. For the record I believe this director is actually taking on the reboot of The Fantastic Four, and I can tell he will most likely deliver the goods if this is any indication.

See CHRONICLE its fucking brilliant.

FFS holywood sucks, leave FF4 alone. Alba made up for any lacking the movie had..And they did fairly well with the silver surfer..

As to chronicle, will give it a look see, was expecting a tween twilight meets superhuman powers honestly..

It's like the jackass who redid startrek, or the thing.. all this remake shit just shows lack of depth..

I thought the Star Trek remake was awesome.

Each to their own, They did have good actors, but the lens flare was retarded, and the story was crap.
Was a recycle to try and draw in the younger crowd, while out doing the previous star trek film in bad guy ship size.

They could have done a lot better, and stayed inline with the 45+ years of established work, verses hitting a reset button to redo the whole storyline, while trying to play it off as an alternate reality. It was shit.
But that is my opinion, so.

I just love this Katsuhiro's, it's a frekin classic!

You spotted great. T2R...resembles a lot, the plot's essential structure :flop:

T2r,you like z movies...I've watched 10 mins of it and trowed it in the fireplace.

Can i suggest "Lifeforce" a class A sci-fi/horror movie, the edited version you may had saw on tv was edited out of half an hour to take the tities and blood out....also making the plot incomprehensible.
It has everything to make a great movie, alien psychics vampires, wicked secret agents, end of the world....And most important beautiful naked girls!

Moral of the story,if theres a 150 miles long abandon starship that looks organic, orbiting somewhere in the solar system....Don't go near it! Don't touch it! And especially don't bring any coffins you may find inside...So stupid!
