Trouble with the messaging system

I am having trouble with the messaging system, the error is

"sorry errors found"

body highlighted red, and next to it says "compulsory"

Is this a common error most people have? what's a good way to fix it? Is this a browser issue?

change your browser, IE, works best on IM, or used to, I never use it anymore.
