U.S. and Russia pledge fresh start in relations

I have very strong opinions about this. But I'll leave it short.

Putin is old school KGB. He is not our ally.

I'm all for having a friendly relationship with Russia, but our 2 countries are still fighting proxy wars with each other. Right now, Russia is backing Iran, and fueling weapons into Iraqi insurgents.

Yes, we did the same thing to them when they were in Afghanistan, but at that time Russia was a known Communist country.

It seems the hands of Putin and the hands of our current administration are slipping closer to a socialist, big brother, military international government. (Read Revelation - the Bible).

Does freedom, and pursuit of happiness mean anything anymore? Or should we class envy, and stick it to the rich for breaking free of the bonds of debt?

It seems the United States is on a national witch hunt for anyone that has prospered. And that is the same philosophy of communism.

I am no expert, ok? I am only using common sense here. But these bankers effed up the world, and then expect Government bailouts, and the Government's recourse is to raise taxes on the workers? Sounds like these fat cats think that escaping poverty wasn't enough. It seems their greed has no satiable end. I want to live in a free country, a true republic, as the founders of these United States wanted. But I do not want to pursue my happiness on the back of the poor. That seems unfair.

It all began with greed, and look where it has lead us?

I think we should give love and peace a chance. Now there's a concept.
