Well, generally residency permits come before citizenship. Get picky all you want, it doesn't detract from the issue that these people are bypassing the system and buying the right to be in U.S.A. It's a matter of equality. That's why this concept of amnesty for the 30 mill illegals in this country all ready is wrong. it's like we are bypassing our own rules and laws for convenience. Do you believe in the rule of law? We already have one of the most lax immigration laws in the world, but that's not enough for people who want a cheap labor force.

I agree that this does seem sleezy, but I do not think it is a problem with the law. In order to gain citizenship that must be declared (green card) while obtaining the residency permit (visa).
I do not like the idea of investors coming and buying up America, but I would rather there be some investment going on in the labor force than illegals competing with citizens over jobs.
