Not to be argumentative but metal storm was designed by an aussie who never got backing for it here, so he went to the US.
I have followed that weapon and its truly devastating. Can even be given live battle field positions and rain fire down all around its own troops killing any other thing body distance away.
Of course its swiss designed, the best things in life always are!Though the U.S were the ones to make it a possibility, and I do not think another country has the technology yet (since it is patented.) Eventually, were going to put them on stealth planes and use them to rain down a trillion rounds onto airfields, disabling everything in the target range. The only thing Iran has to its advantage is soldier training on their soil. Our cities are completely different than there's, so yes they do have some of an advantage (as one would to boast such a claim against such a power) though in the practicality of which they see, I do not see it being a choice for the wise at all.

Good discussion so far, I have yet to see someone call anyone a retard thats a first
*edit- I also prefer people to be argumentative than subjective. It is better to stand up for your point of view, discuss it, realize and understand the differences or flaws amongst such discussion either allowing one to be more ignorant or understanding of the conclusion from the discussion.
All good mate. With how fast technology is going its not in the real of impossibility that they could have something unheard of thats a battle changer.

James Michael O'Dwyer is an inventor who grew up in Muttaburra, Queensland, Australia.
[edit] Biography
He only completed grade 12 education, but went on to be a manager at Woolworths Limited[1] before his inventions were able to provide an income.
O'Dwyer spent 15 years developing a rapid-fire gun prototype called Metal Storm that uses stacked projectiles. Metal storm can fire up to 1,000,000 rounds per minute, or 16,000 rounds per second. The technology is being commercialised by a company also called Metal Storm and was declared by Guinness Book of Records that the weapons are the world's most intelligent and fastest firearms.[2]
An American company Breeze Technology Holdings has in the past attempted to commercialise another of his inventions - air-cooled sneakers.[3][4]

No doubt
I def. hear what you are putting across with out a doubt. I just like to stand up for being an American
I actually love it being me when someone tries to be a smartass. I just personally stand by the fact that if such actions were to happen, irans power would rely in the hands of China and Russia, where we are stable enough to support our selves with out the support of the UN."There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die. "

I love Australia with a passion and its peoples so I hear ya back. Even Indonesia with 10 times our population would have a hard time causing to much drama. They have to get here then they have to live in places that only old school Aboriginies can to establish a base.

Australia is the next major place I want to visit. Heard you can go shreddin (waves, and snow) climbing, parachuting, diving, and anything that can be done in any 2 extremities (hot and cold) at any time there. True?
You cannot make another post so soon after your last.

Its not about the fire power in my opinion.
Something to think about..one ...good ..shot..regardless who's balls are the biggest in this pissing contest.
imagine one simple EMP or nuke..even a small nuclear or bio type weapon launched on the east coast near or at a plant..
has anyone on this sight seen the map of how many nuclear plants / reactors we have on the east coast?!
oh..about 3/4 of them that are in the country that's all..
domino's anyone?
i support my country in this time though for sure..if shit hits the fan here at home, on US soil, i'll be on my rooftop waiting with a banana or 500 and i don't mean fruit!
its hard to take over or "win a battle" on any foreign turf.
especially one that's armed like the US..

something else i thought about..if 1/2 to 3/4 of our military is now stationed in africa, china, russia, ....the middle east geeeez, this list goes on forever.
then that's the close % of aircraft (our air game) that's overseas or away from the US as well.
they don't call em' air craft carriers for nothing right.
our bases at home seem like training depots today more than protection cells for our coast lines with most troops being deployed else were.

The us total armed forces is only about 2% of the population. Yes the army is deployed, but most of the active forces right now comprise of national guard as they are all police actions, and not war active spots. If there were to be a inland invasion, we'd let them fake a state, and nuke it. That's protocol. If all able men are called to arms, that would increase the force to at least 50% pop.
I defend my statement with that of why nothing was ever done during the cold war. Why no one has yet to truly declare all out war such as hitler did. Every major party is under survalience of some form, and we all know how fast the possibility of extinction is by war at this point in time.(mostly due to our use of radioactive materials.) Not one person realistically would want to be the cause, or blame for such an event. It's all a poker game, and the one with the stacked cards and ability to count is surely going to win.

lieutenant commander of the IRGC naval forces Alireza Tangsiri said that Iranian naval forces have been keeping a close eye on the USS George H.W. Bush, the U.S. aircraft carrier which has recently entered the Persian Gulf.
and that aircraft carriers are easy targets for Iranian small speedboats and could easily been sunk.
He added that small boats have been delivered to people, who live in coastal areas, so that they can defend the country in case an emergency situation arises.
