America's most sophisticated stealth jet fighters have been quietly deployed to an allied base less than 200 miles from Iran's mainland, according to an industry report, but the Air Force adamantly denied the jets' presence is a threat to the Middle East nation.

Multiple stealth F-22 Raptors, which have never been combat-tested, are in hangars at the United Arab Emirates' Al Dafra Air Base, just a short hop over the Persian Gulf from Iran's southern border, the trade publication Aviation Week reported.

Air Force spokesperson Lt. Col. John Dorrian would not confirm the exact location of the F-22s, but told ABC News they had been deployed to a base in Southwest Asia -- a region that includes the UAE. Dorrian also stressed that the F-22s were simply taking part in a scheduled deployment and are "not a threat to Iran."

"This is a very normal deployment to strengthen military relationships, promote sovereign and regional security, improve combined tactical air operations and enhance interoperability of forces," Dorrian said.

The F-22 has only been in the UAE once before for training missions in 2009 with "coalition partners."

Dorrian declined to say what the Raptors' mission was in the region this time around or how many planes had been deployed, citing operational security. However, Dorrian said that because of the F-22's next-generation capabilities, any number of planes deployed to the region is "significant."

Though the F-22 has been officially combat operational since December 2005, no planes from the Air Force fleet -- which are made by defense contracting giant Lockheed Martin and cost an estimated $79 billion -- have seen combat. The plane was not used in Iraq, Afghanistan or in the U.S.-led no-fly mission over Libya. The Air Force has said the sophisticated jets simply haven't been needed yet.

But Jeff Babione, Lockheed Martin's vice president for the F-22 program, told ABC News last year that the plane was "absolutely" suited for taking on more sophisticated adversaries and could be used in deep penetration strike missions in well-defended combat zones inside places like North Korea or Iran.

Dont think they have anything to worry about.....apparently the stealth technology doesnt work as well as they had hoped......apparently a B-2 looks like a "Flying Barn" on a radar screen, it's not like they have been trying to hide the designs or the information in regards to its function.....nothing "stealth" here.

and I think its so funny that the 1st American Stealth Fighter that was shot down in Bosnia, a YF-23, was then reverse engineered by the Chinese who had an embassy in Kosovo......

It was also known that the US military launched a Tommahawk Missile right into the Chinese Embassy, and killed a bunch of people, to publically apologise for the "accident".....which was in retaliation for stealing the new technology from the Northrop model's wreckage.......

Then after the Chinese went off to create their own "Stealth" model.........after the YF-23 "black widow"..........here comes the US's newest choice for the "New Stealth Fighter".....the Y-22....from the Skunkworks department at Lockheed Martin.......at area 51

So here's the review in short.........

1) give half assed plane the go ahead with billions to the contractors a Northrop.....and dont care if it gets shot down cause its not stealth, and features the "faulty chips" made in china.....
2) plane gets shot down....chinese grab the wreckage, and reverse engineer half assed plane
3) give another multi billion dollar contract to the original Area 51 guys......and develop a better flying model..........with improved vertical stabilizer positioning, and better performance overall.....

and voila......they have justification for spending billions again, have secretly created an attack/air strike on the chinese and called it an accident, given faulty technology and designs back to the chinese, and also started a public outcry against them for "deceiving" the US, and justified spending Billions more a part of the Stealth Technology Race

.....this time creating a continuation of their Dreamworld Wunder Waffen for the Nationalist Socialist Fourth Reich of the Zionist Occupational Govt..............

gotta love this logic......eh Dom??

The Hypocrisy of the Stealth Race............and the games and lies told to the public to encourage us to contiunue justifying this game......thats what I am talking about.......

They release an article about a bunch of Stealth planes being moved into position, but in reality they are not as stealthy as they lead us to believe...........thats what I am talking about.....

If in the Bosinan war they were able to shoot one down......guess it wasn't "invisible on radar" then, huh?

Another trick of the military to pressure the Iranians into making a first strike, to justify invasion.

That one plane that was shot down isn't even being used anymore. For well over a decade.

And it's no secret that the stealth planes aren't fully stealth. So don't act like everything is a conspiracy.

You can read some stuff here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stealth_aircraft

You people don't know what you're talking about.

Quit making a bad name for the rest of us people on sites like these.

We're all not crazy in the head like most of you.

No ones threatening your standpoint....stop getting aggressive and defensive at me.....and stop trying to "own" a public forum.....last time I checked, there was no policy here that precludes a person's rights to add to the posts....is there??

I only look to expand on the topics.......you must be forgetting that even though you are said and done with this knowledge, "over a decade ago", you forget both that these military strategies were "pioneered" over a decade ago, and they are still being recognized as being present in this time as well.

I think it is up to the people who have this knowlege to continue to present it with a full analysis, and all tangetal associations should be present as well to gain more knowledge of the whole picture........at least for the viewers who dont have the chance to get the "news" and have to catch up to the headliners.......

Dont try to claim someone is trying to debate you....when all they wanted was to share a brief laugh at the obvious hypocrisy of it all.......to bring us into a larger discussion of their lies....IE their Conspiracy to keep us in the dark......you must need an argument to boost your morale, cause it looks like a few others got my point here........

Yes this post is about a single military strategic movement a part of a larger staged interest there in the middle east, but I didn't divert from your post, attempt to harass or annoy anyone, attempt to deride the subject matter into a distraciton from the agendas you highlighted.......

but you have classified me as a fool?......Ive noticed you downplaying me in the past, via your interpretation of my knowledge, what I have witnessed, and been involved in, with first hand knowledge and facts verifiying this agenda. I have been targeted by a few associations in my time, some repeatedly, and believe that these forums are generatlly geared to expose and disclose issues that revolve around many forms of insider information, that whistleblowers have been hiding for years for fear of their own safey........I am here to gain recignition for my efforts......not to surf like a troll looking for those who dont act the same as me, targeting them with insults.

.....guess the MODS have a different agenda going on here.......not all of them at least....and I am questioning your authority as to the nature of your position, your title, and your comments aimed at "many".........

I will stop acting like I have friends on here....and start considering you opinionated mods as biased informers if thats what you really want to tell us all, to STFU???

Dont think the "most of you" crew, IE the thousands of viewers, have much respect for your thoughts on pranking members........violate the trust generated here, and people have no other resource but to turn to other forums to get the truth figured out about their agendas.

you wont even self govern yourselves??

Well you wont be pushing me around and compartmentalizing me into your little categories again..........I will defend my honor and my words to the nth degree of the law.

I dont get paid to post here...to moderate....to network.....or to inform anyone.....but I do it because I am motivated to seek another type of reform, through advocacy and public awareness, to allow individuals to make their own decisions based on facts, and to be able to recognize the obvious trends going on as a warning to many.

Go find comfort in the six or seven mods who will back you then, your obviously having a bad day, and looking for someone to ban to fill your quota, governor.......you've stepped on me before to try to get your "point" across, that youve "got it all figured out"......so do your job as a soveriegn entity that has no checks or balances to govern your behavior, and if it slips into the levels of per-verse arguments and label-making slants, we'll just have to bow down to your split second reactions, with no forethought as to the repurcussions they inspire.

Cause youve got it all figured out right..........well it seems you forgot to express your opinon, and have insulted me openly here......and my education, and my investment into this website.....be it financial, or inspirational...........

I just wanted to interject real quick. This planes in the OP pic are F-22 Raptors, not the same type of stealth that was shot down in Bosnia. The F-117A will still leave a heat signature so if a heat-guided missile gets on it's tail it can be shot down. But in the case of Bosnia I think it was brought down by flack - it seems I remember that as the story anyway. Which means F-117As were running sorties with F-15s and F-14s, which were not stealth, so on a bomb raid if the air is full of flack, the plane just had to run into it.

For a stealth to be stealthy, the run the first strike of the campaign and take out radar to open up the skies for the other planes.

On a personal note, the Air Force has been practicing a first strike on Iran since the early 90s. I know this as a co-workers son was a Stealth Bomber pilot on these test runs. At the time, the mission was a no-win scenario according to war games planning.

All that was way before the F-22 was put into service - at least that we know of. When the first F-117 crashed is when we learned about it in the states, and it was old technology at that point. I would bet the latest stealth bombers are unmanned.

Interesting strategy you brought up Eldorado. That is just clever enough to work. We could extrapolate and say we left the stealth helicopter intact in Pakistan just enough for an enemy to back engineer. Same thing with the drone in Iran. It would make us look sloppy, but with a precision outcome.

Just seen this on the news. Love the word messianic. Oh yea the new look of the site looks top notch, good job guys.

Israel ex-security chief says leadership 'misleading public' on Iran Mr Netanyahu and Mr Barak have repeatedly warned that Iran is trying to obtain nuclear arms Continue reading the main story
Iran nuclear crisis'Last chance' Iran talks to start
Analysis: How would Iran respond to attack?
Analysis: How Israel might strike at Iran
Q&A: Nuclear issue

The former head of Israel's domestic intelligence agency has accused the country's leadership of "misleading" the public on the merits of a possible military strike on Iran.

Yuval Diskin said an attack might speed up any attempt by Iran to obtain a nuclear bomb.

The comment follows remarks by other leading figures contradicting the prime minister and defence chief's views on the subject.

Iran denies it is seeking nuclear arms.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defence Minister Ehud Barak have repeatedly said Iran must be prevented from building nuclear weapons and have not ruled out military action to disrupt its nuclear programme.

Mr Diskin, who stepped down as Shin Bet chief last year after six years, said he had "no faith in the current leadership" of Mr Netanyahu and Mr Barak, according to Israeli media reports.

"I don't believe in a leadership that makes decisions based on messianic feelings," he said at a public meeting.

"They are misleading the public on the Iran issue. They tell the public that if Israel acts, Iran won't have a nuclear bomb. This is misleading. Actually, many experts say that an Israeli attack would accelerate the Iranian nuclear race."

The BBC's Rupert Wingfield-Hayes says this was by any measure a stinging attack on the Israeli prime minister and his defence chief.

Mr Diskin's harsh criticism appears to be another sign of deep disquiet within the Israeli military and intelligence community over Prime Minister Netanyahu's threats to attack Iran.

Dissenting views

The former Shin Bet chief's comments come days after Israel's military chief said he did not think that Iran had yet decided to build nuclear weapons.

Chief of Staff Lt Gen Benny Gantz said he believed international sanctions against Iran were bearing fruit in dissuading it from taking such a decision.

In March, the former head of Israel's foreign intelligence service, Mossad, publicly opposed military action against Iran.

Meir Dagan said an Israeli attack would have "devastating" consequences for the Jewish state and would not prevent Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons.

Such views are at odds with those of the prime minister and defence chief. Prior to Mr Dagan's remarks on US television, Mr Netanyahu had inferred he would not countenance a long delay before taking direct action against Iran's nuclear programme if all other options failed.

He said he hoped "we can peacefully convince them to tear down their nuclear programme", but that either way "the result has to be that the threat of a nuclear weapon in Iran's hands is removed".
