I wouldn't be a bit surprised about that, thousands of ufos have the high ground, seen all our defence sites, put nukes out of action and so on.They know of every military base on this earth.

What would be a better way to invade a planet? Take note of all those key installations, and plan the attack.
Just like any commander in the theatre of war,strategy counts.
