Yes, geese often travel in a "V" formation, I think they call it a "Flock". In this case I'm guessing they want to leave the area. >cough, cough<
Dude, have you seriously never seen a flock of geese before? Storks, pelicans, ducks, etc all use that "V" formation when flocking.
