There could be some form of mind control here.

OK, so....
The elder Brea -- who is also a Freemason -- said he told his son just hours before the incident occurred to "say your prayers [and] lay in your bed and your headache will go away."

Does that sound like some scary programming bullshit to anyone else? I believe that the phrase "say your prayers" appears in different form in some of the literature I've read about mind control programming and trigger phrases...I believe it is said to reinforce programming or to calm down people who are breaking down. Don't quote me because I don't have every book on the subject memorized, but it's a creepy sort of thing to say to an adult in any case IMHO.

Who are these people? Anybody know any details on the father?

In the article which is linked in this thread, it specifically says the father stated that the sword used in the murder was a martial arts katana. However, I just found this quote:

Brea's uncle Martial told reporters his nephew took the ceremonial sword home with him after a Freemasons meeting Monday night.
