This kind of stuff is ridiculous, intrusive and expensive.
I really do not like the increasing monitoring, especially at the tax-payer's expense.
It's no wonder people think it's a terrible conspiracy. It is, definitely, a sign of wrong-headed control-minded governance.
Sometimes it does feel that humanity is somehow inexorably drawn towards the technocratic, all-controlling, Big Brother mentality.
How can we fight this beast?
I wish I could see political solutions. I wish the aliens could solve it, but they just seem like sneaky, aloof bastards.
I wish somebody could show me and the rest of us a model to live by in this modern world.
That's why I look around here on the edge of credibility, for a clue, a glimmer of progress, it's always the weird frontier where the new ideas come from.

Well if you think about it we are living in a police state, with them wanting to be able check what everyones doing on the internet and with cctv everywhere you look. The cctv was supposed to help prevent crime and trouble on the streets But where I come from all this still happens and there is NEVER any police in sight?????
SO what exactly are the cameras for?

Yeah I seen this earlier on the news Barbie. How do we stop it??? I dont want it, no way do I but how the hell do we stop this when most of the public are brainwashed already into thinking we need this. Next thing they will want us all branded ffs They will track our every move with this card, I really wish people would wake up to this.
Jacqui Smith is a miserable hard faced git (amongst other things lol)... dont think Ive seen her smile yet.
Agree that the UK is a police state now
the CCTV rarely catch a thief, mugger or rapist and when they do.. the afore mentioned say its against their human rights to be filmed and walk away with it BUT you go very slightly over the speed limit they'll have you for it

On this cctv note, when i first ever came on this site it was the first video i watched, a man in a balaclava (sorry for the spelling) and he was talking about 7/7 and terrorism and ow when 7/7 happened loads of ntrew bills were introduced trough that happening ( i do love the fact they think people dont notice that) and he was talking about if you went and stood with a camera in trafalgar square although i think he may have said he did it and that police will come from nowhere and do checks on you and what not and ask you to put the camera down and i remember him saying do i have to give you my name no so i wont goodbye , he was also saying that he asked or thought of asking about what about the cameras watching him, watching everyone why dont those get turned off and they just laughed it off!!
The uk is turning into a police state. Id cards, cctv cities, huge prisons and whatever else you can think of. It has to stop but i dont know wat to do
