Btw, if you or your child or anyone you know or their child has been vaccinated and they are completely healthy, Excellent! Thankfully, you are the majority. And if you strongly believe in the benefits of vaccines, good on you! But please remember that these do not qualify as 'debunking' arguments. If you choose to play devil's advocate or for whatever personal reasons choose to argue against any of the info posted above, please do it effectively by providing evidence.

If you're just interested in drive-by criticism, keep in mind that this a very sensitive subject for a lot of people. Don't be jerky.

This is a hard decision for any parent to make...culture brings the guilt trip on very strongly and polices itself very strongly on this subject. If you decide to not vaccinate your kids you will be judged and looked upon as a rebelious force by doctors and your peers...do you own investigating, there are growing number of doctors and scientist who strongly oppose the whole vaccination process/theory. Dont let uninformed people impair your judgement on this, do what your heart believes is the right thing...do it for our future generation...our parents where not informed enough to make a rational choice, dont make the same mistakes they did..its time to take our souls back and not fill it with toxic poison. I have chosen not to vaccinate my children and they are growing up to be extremely healthy kids that virtually never get sick...it takes a strong mind to debate your childs physician, for they will try there hardest to convince you your making a mistake, but come at them with facts and they will crumble and hide behind their prepackaged data....they will never agree with you because they are required to dictate the hospitals protocol and are not allowed to give their own opinion...the time is now to do the right thing!

Imagine that. Children can grow up completely free of disease without vaccinations.
I intend to raise mine the same.
So, have you had to make sacrifices? Have you had difficulty enrolling them in schools, registering for programs, doctors, e.t.c?

Doctors I can handle, you do have to explain to them why you choose this path...this is where your research comes in, come in with facts and they will dissolve before you. Since I plan on homeschooling, I have not worried much of any other social consequence...I want to give my children the best chance to excel to their fullest potential.

right on. I'm not so much worried about doctors, if they want my business, they'll listen to me and give me what I need. Otherwise, there's a great alt. medicine community in my city.

It's more the schooling I'm worried about. Seems most private schools in my city require vaccinations and I was hoping to go the private route. Home schooling is a really cool option too. Although it's kind of impossible in a dual income household, like mine. But I guess, sacrifices may have to be made.

All that being said, vaccine awareness is pretty dismal around here and still a very taboo subject. It's quite sad how selfish some parents get when it's brought up. They don't want to hear that perhaps they've made uninformed decisions in their life. They'd rather trivialize it and shoo it away. Which is a shame. Change takes a lot of voices being heard, and naysayers are a real barrier to that change. I don't know how many more infants have to be lost to SIDS 48hrs. after vaccinations, before people can chuck their egos aside and surrender themselves to the evidence and staggering correlations.
