Vatican has Infrared Telescope...why?

I'm relatively new here so unsure if this has been posted before but take a gander.

Ask yourself why the Vatican truly has an infrared telescope...

Just use the letters AFTER the = sign.............that is all of the url you need and put it inside the brackets for youtube!

good post and good question.the vatican has some of the best astronimers and astrologists in the world and its telescopes are not just for looking for god so to speek in my opinion mate :cheers:

I did watch it.

I don't know what to think about why the vatican wants an observatory in Arizona, why don't they observe from Rome?

Another thing is that there is talk of no longer sharing information with the public regarding space images, if that is the case why would a religious institution have same access as military if they do decide to keep the images from scientists?

Arizona and Rome are two VERY different places when you are considering a place to operate a telescope. The atmosphere is AZ is always very dry, arid. Cloud cover is scarce and the light pollution is just about non existent.

Vatican's proximity to its own telescope is not a concern...The clarity of what it wants to view is....
