Vesta Mining Vessel?

So. I was looking at this NASA image of asteroid/protoplanet Vesta:

When I saw this asteroid mining vessel (apparently):

As the image is a bit blurry, I made a little sketch of what I think might be going on here:

Soooo...... WTF is that? Am I seeing things? or is there something there?

its hard to say what it is really, but mining in space could definitly be being done by a secret space program or other entities..

anything is possible...

Also, judging from the scale key on the NASA image, the structure is about 3 or 4 km long.

Vesta is cool as heck looking, in the top corner there is something dark

There are other pics that include the same crater. But in all the other pics the "anomaly" isn't there. Either it had flown off, or was edited out of the other pics. Here they are:

Woah,

that's a fascinating find...very nice job Psyphi! Your drawing is also kick ass. Fred Steckling's moon mining machines was the first thing what popped up in my mind.

I uploaded the full-Res TIFF myself to see what's going on in this crater. If done a little filtering on that particular area ...not in depth, it took me only 2 minutes but the results are still astonishing.

It really looks like there's something is in that crater!
