Marine Scott Olsen Will Undergo Brain Surgery, And OccupyMARINES Are Making Demands

After being struck by a projectile at Tuesday's Occupy Oakland evictions, Iraq war veteran Scott Olsen is lucid and awaiting brain surgery.
The Guardian reports Olsen "responded with a very large smile" when his parents arrived from Wisconsin to visit him at the hospital. Medical officials say Olsen's able to write and hear, but is having trouble speaking.
Meanwhile, Oakland's Mayor Jean Quan who left town after authorizing the raid, has separated herself from the police. Quan said, "I only asked the chief to do one thing: to do it when it was the safest for both the police and the demonstrators."
Her interim police chief then denied his men had used rubber bullets or flashbang grenades. His goal, he said, "... isn't to cause injury to anyone."
In response to the police tactics, OccupyMARINES have issued a formal list of requests in Oakland. Whether these requests are pursued or met should be an indicator of how strong or extensive this branch of the movement has become.

Identify The 300 OPD Riot Officers By Name, Photo, And Badge Number With Boots On The Ground Engaging In Illegal Excessive Force Acts Against Peaceful Americans For Prosecution.
Identify The Officer Responsible For Harming Scott Olsen By Name And Photo For Prosecution.

Before I get into this let me say. I honestly don't want to see anyone get hurt but he put himself in that situation. If the police did something wrong, then that needs to be investigated and taken care of.

I don't see anyone on here making threads about the 20+ injured police officers in NY that prompted their union to say they will sue anyone that injures an officer. Without getting into why a union is saying that, I'll press on to the point of my post. The media is painting this guy as some patriotic and proud marine but that's far from the truth. Again, you are being used.

It has been widely reported that Olsen is a member of Iraq Veterans Against the War. But apparently his opposition to the U.S. military and the Marine Corps in which he served runs a little deeper.

The site is no longer live, but Olsen was the founder of IHateTheMarineCorps.com, a private user forum apparently dedicated to bashing the Marine Corps.

A Scott Olsen is listed as the registered owner of this domain, and it is the same Scott Olsen based on a user profile on the fundraising site pledgie.com.

Compare the image above to Olsen’s profile on Facebook – it’s definitely him.

The Marine Corps thrives on its image. They convince young men and women that they’re joining a professional military organization. But that’s not the case at all, every Marine knows it, and most have no problem downplaying the bullshit to outsiders so they can protect their “beloved corps”. Maybe not hacking it means we saw through the bullshit and don’t want to take it. Maybe the brainwashing didn’t work on us. I’m not here to tell you if you should join or not. It’s about a protest movement inspired and organized by anarchists who wish to destroy this nation, while falsely claiming to represent middle America. And it’s about a national media engaged in uncritically promoting this narrative. Scott may be the victim of excessive police violence – this has yet to be conclusively determined. But he is also a victim of a fundamentally anti-American movement way too eager to use his military service as propaganda.

MSN still isn't covering it in my area. Eventually it's going to get cold and I think tptb know this and thats why they are letting it play out so the movment just dies.

This is a big reason of why I stayed after I found this site. There are so many people here all with different interests. That more often than not, you hear about it here sometimes days before the MSM picks up on it.
