When a propelled objective approaches the speed of light, so does everything else, in the opposite direction. That goes back to physics from a simpler time, where "every action creates an equal and opposite reaction" in a way. It doesn't matter which object was propelled.

So, as any object approaches light speed and gets more massive while time shuts down, the same thing happens to the rest of the universe. Result: NO NET EFFECT (sorry einstein).

In playing along though, those rogue hydrogen atoms would not only become radiation because they are approach electro-magnetic speeds, they also become massive objects. You'd need a shield much thicker than a few meters, I'm afraid.

In MY thought experiment, einstein was commissioned by the PTB to explain how ET's got here. The PTB didn't want people thinking that the ET's had been here all along...or vice versa. So, cancelling out common factors, and reducing the equation to its simplest form we get:

ET=PtB

They obviously got here at some point in time, probably doing about 65 MPH...and yes, speed kills.

You are forgetting about the warp bubble (or field) that surrounds the ship. All the hydrogen atoms would traverse the barrier of the bubble rather than trying to penetrate (the path of least resistance) and would not pose a problem. Its all rather elementary!

the craft I saw sliced its way through our atmosphere like an axe splits wood! the area of space behind the disc closed up as it moved almost like it was been pushed forward by the returning space molecules and cutting open the space in front at the same time! the craft hovered in front of me for a couple of seconds about fifty metres of the ground and seemed to sweat liquid light. the craft was a disc shape about the size of a large bus and a blinding bright glow radiated of it. then it turned in to a shooting star and just vanished leaving me scratching my head ever since...I feel that gravity or space dont affect these discs so does warp speed exist to the pilot inside?
