It is believed that the object sighted above New York a few days ago was actually a bunch of balloons.

Hundreds of people in the Big Apple took to the streets to observe the peculiar object hovering high above the city, now however it has been revealed that a bunch of balloons was accidently released from a school at around the same time.

Usually i wouldn't say this, but as it's a recent event, it's best to search for threads on this topic already existing.

Here's my two cents:

It's a big city, i'm sure balloons are released in various quantity everyday. And I'm sure some of them are seen. But everyone knows what a balloon looks like. I'm sure all those new yorkers, hundreds of them, weren't watching stationary balloons for 6 hours.

Also.. the sightings we've had reported to us on DTV from across the world, day and night the last few days, and the sightings some of us have been watching live on webcam the past few nights, blows everything but the blue beam theory out of the water, which I really don't believe either.
