WAVE OF UFO SIGHTINGS ACROSS ENGLAND? December 2009

Hey first time post but this is news worthy.

Saturday 26th December (Boxing Day) I was walking round to a friends house in Ealing London when I spotted 2 orange spheres of light. At first I thought it was lights at the tip of each wing of a small jet. But then the lights would move closer then part. There was no sound. I stopped 3 people in the street that also witnessed the event. I later returned home to find a wave of sightings from all parts of the country matching the discription and behaviour of the craft I saw.

- Two Orange Lights in formation
- Moving toward Hammersmith/Central London (East)
- They were moving too fast to be a balloons
- No sound, therefore not plane or helicopter
- Lights did not have red and green lights marking wing span
- Changed course. Showed intelligent behavior.

Over M65 Darwen, Lancashire-27th December 2009

Witness Statement: I was travelling along the M65 towards Darwen when I saw three orange lights heading west. They were in a triangular formation, all travelling at the same speed, with one at the front and two at the back, all with equal distances between them. As i passed beneath them I could see that there were no flashing navigation lights as on a plane and I could see the thin clouds high above them as the night was very clear. This gave the impression that they were not particularly high. As the motorway was clear, I pulled into the hardshoulder and opened my window. There was no sound from them and I could still not see any flashing lights. They were witnessed by other people as another couple of cars slowed down, and the occupants were looking up at them.

Over Maesycwmmer, Caerphilly-25th December 2009

Witness Statement: Bright orange light, looked like plane on fire. No noise, first thought it was a helicopter. Travelled out of sight and then came back for about 20 mins circling. husband looked through binoculars, and said “my god it’s the shape of a flying saucer”, it went off towards the East and disappeared. Pretty sure it wasn’t chinese lantern as it seemed to flying in different directions. Sure there must be a rational explanation, did anyone else see it?

Whitstable, Kent-26th December 2009

Witness Statement: me and my family were just pulling into our drive when we saw 3 lights really close together, they were not moving but just hovering, the light in the centre was red and flashing but then it moved to the left then the right, this is when we realised that whatever it was, it was rotating. We reversed the car to get a better look but it just dissapered

Lowestoft East Anglia UK-28th December 2009

Witness Statement: I have just seen a massive, flat, dull silver shape with a fluctuating orange/ red light on the front moving north wards in a direction I have never seen an aeropane fly here before. it came directly towards me before dissapearing very quickly. I am always outside as I do not smoke indoors, and have never seen anything like this before. has anyone else reported this tonight?

Witness Statement: Was on the computer looking out the window at the night sky, when i saw a bright orange/red circular light so bright moving quite quickly and steadily throught the sky from right to left – we opened the window and it was absolutely silent. It was the most amazing thing i have ever seen – definately not a plane or lantern!

East Grinstead-26th December 2009

Witness Name: David

Witness Statement: During the course of this evening I have observed a series of orange lights passing S to N over East Grinstead. I am a retired professional pilot and am unable to provide any explanation. The lights appear singly and would appear to be at about 2-3 thousand feet travelling noiselessly at about 2-300 knots. They were unaffected by the wind (no drift). These lights were also observed on one occasion by my house guest, a very level headed professor of education from Australia. Have there been any other reports or can you offer any explanation?

City Center Liverpool (between Duke Street and Seel Street)-13th December 2009

Witness Statement: My husband and I sighted a object hovering next to a building about 6-7 storeys high. It them turn on its side and we could see lights turning in a circle. It just looked like what you think a UFO looks like saucer shaped. It then moved over to the Circle building on Duke street and disappeared. It was approximately 12 foot across. The lights were bluey/white. This lasted for about 45 seconds, I live in the city centre and there was lots of christmas revellers out. Did anyone else see anything?

Knaphill, Woking, Surrey-26th December 2009

Witness Statement: My wife and two of our three grown-up children were arriving home after an afternoon at Kempton Park races. As we turned onto our estate where we live, we saw a bright orange orb in the sky at around 1000 feet altitude in a due easterly direction over Horsell village around a mile away. At that distance and elevation I estimate the orb would have been between 100 and 200 feet diameter. We pulled up outside our house and the four of us witnessed this strange apparition in the sky. The orange outer surface formed a corona like effect. There were flames coming from the left hand side. It was perfectly stationary. I tried to photograph the image but my camera did not work. We watched it for about a minute before it suddenly disappeared. Weather was cold but clear with a wind of approx 5 miles per hour.

Brentwood, Essex-25th December 2009

Witness Statement: My husband and I both saw some bright red lights in the sky from our lounge window. We immediately ran outside and saw that there were a total of 5 of these bright red objects, travelling in a straight line, but quite a way apart from each other. They all followed the exact same flight path, from South to North, then each one turned East at the same spot . What amazed us was the fact that there was no noise at all. It was a very clear night and we had perfect vision. It was difficult to tell how high they were or what size but they appeared to the naked eye as bright red and round but with a short tail. I managed to take a digital phot of two of them . I blew up the photo’s and the objects when magnified have a distinct < shape . Like a V on its side. They could not have been helicopters, aircraft or lanterns, but we have no idea what they were. Did anyone else see these 5 objects. We wouild be very interested to know if anyone has any idea what they could be. It was a very strange sight. So glad I got a clear picture of 2 of them, the other 3 were out of sight by the time I got my camera.

is there any explanation for what they are? it's weird that they've been seen all over the country in the space of a few days. The recent sightings are so similar. :alien:

Hi rushbob,
Would you be willing to give me some more information about your sighting?

When and where it happened, what time, what direction the objects moved what the atmospheric/ weather conditions were etc...

Wow this is quite incredible, I also witnessed this phenomena on Christmas Eve between 19:45 & 20:00 in north Wales.

It was only one orange sphere though & it disappeared when I ran back into the pub to get more witnesses ! It pulsated and changed shape but stayed locked in the same spot ruling out lanterns, it was below cloud cover aswell so it stood out as there was no sky visible either just darkness and the low cloud base.

Interesting stuff indeed.

As I said in another thread, these orange orbs have been so numerous lately, even a skeptic like me has to take notice.
