We all need to have a real small meeting concerning the worst can happen any day, time, month and year! Do you have water enough to feed your family and or friends? Food (good canned food)? First aid kits? Tools (equipments)? Extra clothes (sweaters, pants, shoes etc)? Detergent (soap)? Protection (knife, guns and or ammo)? Spiritually and or mentally prepared? Money (gold & or silver)? Flashlights/candles and matches and or portable radio? Tents? Outdoor bug spray?
It's always good to be physically prepared, at least you will be able to focus on the mental aspects if or when things go wrong, instead of standing hours in line to get a loaf of bread. At that moment you will truly regret not having prepared when it was dead easy to do so. Like NOW

i will kill all of you and take what you have to provide for my family and thats how it's gonna be when it all goes down. but no one will admit it.we pretend to be civilized but we are the most dangerous killing machine on the planet.you aint gonna stand in no line for food when there's nothing left ,thats the happy thoughts creeping in come back down to earth, either you eat or be eaten thats the only law that will be left, why do we all have these fixed fantasy's that some one is coming to save us there is no savior only people seeking to control other people
thats the real cold hard truth why wrap it up all pretty and slap a bow on it?

Not entirely true... Many wars this earth has seen, many that started rebuilding in full consciousness and harmony after them.. I see no reason why we shouldn't behave civilized, although I tend to preach the same...
I wonder why the masses continually chose to celebrate giving and helping others only ONE DAY per year. Is it because they also believe that such brief moment justifies the rest of their man made time (the rest of the year after they commit such act)? Well, at least they do allow/chose Christmas once per year. Maybe not in this lifetime, but all beings will celebrate giving, caring, love, peace and harmony each and every second of their lives (instead of the few hours of such pagan holiday).

My wife and I put a lot of thought and planning into this subject, I don't think you can be 100% prepared for any/every scenario. A lot of our canned food we are using and replacing because most have a shelf life of about a year (we started prepared well over a year ago, and we don't know how long we have to go, but say it's the whole 2012 thing. That is almost 2013, so were talking being prepared for 4 + years) we are doing the same for water which is only supposed to be stored for 6 months. I bought a 3500w generator but fuel shouldn't be stored for longer than 5 months. I bought fuel stabilizer, but still after a year your really risking issues. She has many skills in surgery, so has really set up a small ER room with supplies. 40 cal glock and ammo will keep fine so will the firewood. SOOOOO if we keep babying our supplies we might be good for 6months. Until you seriously start planning, you don't relize how hard it is to prepare. We will be 100 time better off than most people..... And were still f%*€d.... I suggest coming clean with your maker and living life as best you can.

Now I'm nothing...

i would say develop community with friends you like and know. work together. so far we have six people 3 men 3 women. when two men go scavaging one man will stay back and help women out. it will be rough to do this on your own. good luck all. it will get rough.

if any of these things happen we will each need only one thing....
FAMILY.
then,no matter what happens,we'll all be alright

Don't take the shelf life of cans too seriously, during the war my father ate canned food that was 30 years old.
Just saying that the shelf lives are quite 'flexible'.
