Hmmm... That video really is strange.

However, when I go to the website and do the same thing, the only thing I can click on are the three alerts near Indonesia and I get a similar looking map as in the video. I CANNOT even click on any other area of the map including Asia, Australia or North America. Nothing happens.

And realorfake, the map you are looking at is the one of the Caribbean.

So the large mapped image of the Gulf of Mexico is just for show?

I doubt it too, it's just that neither map was giving the error message like in the video.
