I would also like to discuss Tor and why some people think its so easy to compromise, seems a bit unsubstantiated to me...

Sure a node could be compromised but they can still not see who the original user is... even if they could putting a name to that person would be difficult, you are only as Anonymous as the precautions you take, if you send your name and address over the network then yes, it could be intercepted by a compromised node.

But, if you used PGP encryption it would be incredibly difficult.

If anyone has any actual information regarding this I would be very interested, just saying its unsafe isn't good enough for me lol

You are correct that your ip is attached to emails, that's how you get hacked... But his IP is not American as far as I can tell, I won't divulge his location though as I must respect privacy, but I think it's the correct location especially looking at his use of language.

Edit to add: I'm 99% certain he way using an American proxy NoEntry. :flop:

Tor has its pros and cons. The question is what problem you are trying to solve, or are you looking for a proactive solution to an unknown threat?

Tor performs poorly in a few areas:
1) Speed,
2) adversary protection
3) side-channel attack protection
4) trusted communications

Tor is very good at a few things:
1) Reachability / Censorship evasion
2) Hidden services
3) Encrypted communications in minimal telecom infrastructure.

These three positive things overlap in a specific demographic: 3rd world countries.

So if you live outside of the US/UK/EU, and have no high-speed communications needs, or minimal protection/threat issues, or are of a collectivist bent, tor may be a good choice for you. If not, you may need to use additional software to access tor, or upgrade to an anonymous vpn for more speed/features/protections.

TOR provides anonymity but not privacy. Never use TOR for your personal email or banking transaction. I have high suspicion that it's a surveillance honeypot. Also, you'll be exposed to UDP/TCP attacks when you connected to TOR. Thus, you need sufficient firewall, anti-virus and protections on your side.

In my own testings, TOR effectively covers HTTP transmission only.

The truth is you can stay anonymous from advertising company,s and low level organisations.

But you can not hide from your internet provider.
If you use the net the government can find you what ever you try and do.

The only way not to be found is not to draw attention to yourself.

There is always the darknet but it is not a safe place.
You are more likely to be hacked there then anywhere else.

day after day...
the anti fluoride group in america didnt answer us......so so much for their sellout asses.
but dont worry, yesterday we got a lot of emails to the senator.
it doesnt really matter if he listens to us, he will ignore us, and we will show all the emails to the world and smear his name into dirt.

as some people who emailed him said "either remove fluoride, or we will vote for someone who will, to take your place"

remember, we gave him a chance to listen to us to improve his image, but he didnt.
now, people think we didnt do anything, that its over, they just ignored us.
but the fun just starts with all the emails collected, showing them everywhere...and ruining his image...and letting people know.

but hey...he still has another 1-2 week to respond, get the champagne ready, maybe he will be on our side.

Tor is the Darknet or deepweb man... the best known darknet...

I use Tor everyday, aswell as a normal browser, I try not to discuss anything I deem sensitive on the clearnet (here)

we are all on the same team....doing good things...but noentry seems to be obsessed to find my ip and reveal me to the world, even though google pretty much knows who i am....and most of my fans who follow me on 4chan and youtube.
Why would he care so much who i am and where i live? why would he be so butthurt that my group is private and we cherish being anon? does he really think he will get my ip from gmail?

lets not forget that he doesnt know the way my group communicates and that ISP cannot spy on an encrypted connection...
he seems eager to fearmorger me that i wont be anon and that they can see anything,...and that there is....no way.
