Can't go wrong with either I'd imagine, I would go with beef stock. Unless you are making the mashed potatoes out of the stock, then I'd use chicken stock in the mashed potatoes, and garlic.

Chicken stock in mashed potatoes sounds good as hell.
No way man. Caramalize the bones to make a gravy, demi, but mashers need to be pure. Cream, sour cream, chives, butter and lots of butter

Yeah, I have a lot of chives growing at my house so we use that too. Sour cream of course too.

Ok, Brits. I made my first Shepherd's Pie. It's really good. From what I know, I made it pretty traditionally. I think.
The pics are from my phone and the pics suck. No flash. It looks better than what the pictures show.
I used this recipe http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/dann ... index.html
I didn't put any celery in it though. That recipe called for it. I used Lamb too. We got more.


I'm fuckin full as hell right now.

Looks good dom, you got me bro, I fed my family shepherds pie today also, with fresh garden peas and chanterelle carrots as the side veg...
