I needed help with the rent...

The good part is that my friend is a great drummer, singer and producer, and the kid is ok, too.

So it was kind of a nice Christmas with my new "family", complete with a brand new radio-controlled car for the kid that, of course, didn't work. But the kid was cool about it. We stuffed our faces all day and I am adjusting to the new arrangement without too much stress.

It's a new chapter in my little Amsterdam saga, but now I can afford to do the travel I need to to keep my soul alive, and still have a place to go back to...or not...

And now I have the help I need to finish the record I've been threatening the world with for some years now...

Things work out in funny ways. I'm trying to keep my heart and mind open as I pass through this incarnation and you guys have been like the corner pub for me the past few months, the place I go to bullshit and hang out, a place where I have one or two good buddies and a lot of acquaintances I can talk to about some of the crazier shit that goes through my already addled brain.

Thanks DTVers, and I wish you all a bright future as we turn the corner to what I predict will be an interesting new year (as they all have been, so far...).

Cheers, comrades!!

(I threw the word comrade in just to piss off Spock) :sunny:

I hope this post wasn't implying that Cornbread was going to be too busy to still hang out with us..................come on now............Laptop is your friend.

Isn't it funny about those remote controlled do hickeys? They rarely work and if they do they need batteries in a few hours if that long!
