Other tend to exploit the fascist tendancies of grammar Nazis as a drama-generating technique. If a troll leads the Nazi into a "trap", filled with deliberate bad grammar, they will leap on the oppertunity. This is followed by the troll posting a Nazi-related image macro, infuriating the victim. Suggesting gramatical errors in a tl;dr post is another technique used by trolls to provoke a flamewar between grammar Nazis.
Grammar Nazis are often hypocrites as well, challenging the grammar of others with posts that contain spelling and grammar errors themselves.
Origins
Grammar Nazis have existed since the creation of the Internet, and existed long before that IRL.

This is not a complete sentence. Do you know how I can tell when I'm communicating with an idiot? First of all, they cant't express themselves correctly. Secondly, they usually pray to imaginary beings or have uber-conservative values.
I have a rudimentary understanding of Spanish. Therefore I do not post in Spanish language sites. Take the hint brother.
If you are a non-native English speaker, have someone check your work before you post. If you are a native English speaker, and your grammar is this atrocious, then you are mayonnaise-loving, cousin- f%#*ing trailer trash.
