Yep... Thats the one, The Greeks and the turks Dont really like each other...

I know that you are diplomatic Noentry my friend, but Loukoumi is Greek and Turkish Delight Is, well, Turkish..... A bit like the difference between Turkish Raki and Greek Ouzo.... :flop:

The truth is it was originally Turkish, but the Greeks have made their own type.
It is a bit like the coffee over there, they call it Greek coffee, but the Turkish population brought it to the island first, however it is really Arabic coffee.

I absolutely love Turkey and Cyprus... I know them both well.... I am back in Turkey in just under two weeks... Beautiful people.... southern Cyprots and Turks....However I do feel that the Turks are the invading force in Cyprus....imo

...all i know is my good friend , stefan , from greece knows some awesome sweets , one of them anise flavored something or other...i guess his favorite here in the states is licorice like these...

yes and no bro.

Cyprus is an independent island and the Turks and Greeks are actually Cypriot, one group Muslim and one Christian.
In my post uncomfortable and embarrassing history I covered in a small way the modern history of the problems on the island.
But as international law stands the Turkish invasion of Cyprus was illegal. And the only country in the world to recognise the Northern occupied part of Cyprus is Turkey.
