Yep... Thats the one, The Greeks and the turks Dont really like each other...

The truth is it was originally Turkish, but the Greeks have made their own type.
It is a bit like the coffee over there, they call it Greek coffee, but the Turkish population brought it to the island first, however it is really Arabic coffee.

Cyprus is an independent island and the Turks and Greeks are actually Cypriot, one group Muslim and one Christian.
In my post uncomfortable and embarrassing history I covered in a small way the modern history of the problems on the island.
But as international law stands the Turkish invasion of Cyprus was illegal. And the only country in the world to recognise the Northern occupied part of Cyprus is Turkey.
