Very good point. The first thing that I thought about was that maybe that's what it "smells" like when there are no odors around. Normally we're smelling air, so if we weren't smelling air would we smell something metallic? I think the out gassing is probably right though, since they only smelled it when astronauts re-entered the ship, and the inside of the ship has air in it so there is defiantly something to smell.

Hehe thanks, I've got quite some things to post in the upcoming months... :D
