I just found this on RSOE EDIS A group of British explorers just back from a 60-day trip to the North Pole said on Monday they had encountered unusual conditions, including ice sheets that drifted far faster than they had expected. The three-member team walked across the frozen Arctic Ocean to study the impact of increased carbon dioxide absorption by the sea, which could make the water more acidic and put crucial food chains under pressure. Expedition leader Ann Daniels said the ice drifted so much that they eventually covered 500 nautical miles (576 miles) rather than the 268 nautical miles initially envisaged. One possible reason for the rapid drift was a lack of ice, she suggested. Satellite imagery reveals rapidly melting ice sheets in the Arctic, a region which is heating up three times more quickly than the rest of the Earth. The first day the team was dropped off the ice moved so quickly to the south that it took the trio 10 days to make it back to their starting point. "None of us had ever experienced that amount of southerly drift on our previous expeditions, and it continued for such a long period of time. We kept expecting it to stop, we began to pray it would stop," Daniels said. "At the end of the expedition we were losing three nautical miles a night ... it was quite a major factor," she told a news conference in Ottawa. Many scientists link the higher Arctic temperatures to the greenhouse gas emissions blamed for global warming. Martin Hartley, a member of the team, said the condition of the ice was unpleasantly bad. "We spent a couple of days walking on ice that was three or four inches thick with no other thicker ice around, which was a big surprise to us," he told the news conference. "On more than one occasion we came across enormous areas of very thin ice, which is quite stressful to travel on. We came across open water which we had to swim across." At one point an ice floe the team's tent was moored on broke apart, although no one was injured. Last month explorers at the team's ice base some 680 miles (1,100 km) further south reported a three-minute rain shower, which they described as a freak event. The team is due to release preliminary results this September. The C$3 million ($2.9 million) expedition is sponsored by British insurer Catlin (CGL.L).

Is this a resurgence of what Admiral Richard Byrd started in the 1940's? The Arctic regions of the planet are the largest mystery we have close at hand. It's all part of the bigger mystery though.

A fun thought: Is it perhaps the ice pulling back to reveal the purported Hollow Earth entrance?

Anyone claiming to have gone to the north pole without mentioning the 600 mile wide fucking hole in the center needs to find another disinfo job. Mabye they could provide pictures with GPS coordinates on the photos so we know they were actually there instead of just telling us a story...

I think you better elaborate a bit on that Nilm33.

Usernameexists, Research Hollow Earth theory.

http://www.think-aboutit.com/hollow/hollow_earth_research_data.htm Jumbled list of interesting North Pole facts

Also, look up the book Etidorhpa( written in the 1800 by a man who claimed to have been guided by an alien looking creature to a city in the Earth)

http://www.xenophilia.com/zb0008.htm - and this is an awesome compliation of information.

There are also several short documentaries on the subject, they can be found on google video, and some are blogged about and embedded here, http://psychedelicadventure.blogspot.com/2010/08/journey-to-hollow-earth-documentary.html

Note: These theories occassionally go hand in hand with the Nazi occult use, and the escape of Hitler through the South Pole. Also raises questions about whether or not the Holocaust we all learn about in school is a true account. It takes much research to learn the truth, none of us are there yet, it's mostly still speculation..

For a last note, this interesting anomaly was found in Antarctica, I stumbled across it in google earth, but i was not the first to find it. There are videos on Youtube showing the same thing from this picture http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y219/LadyfatesBlood/hollowearthentrance1.jpg?t=1284046787 except they have the camera flipped, which makes it hard to see. I have spent much time looking at openings in the ice, and lakes with dark frozen surfaces, and this is without a doubt in my mind, a DOMED OPENING, in the ice of Antarctica.

Thoughts on this broad, far reaching subject?

Watch below! You will see some images, the military will not release any real-time images or data any where near the poles.

Thanks Ghost32 and Stopharp for taking the time to post.

I have of course looked into the hollow earth theory and i have to say i am NOT convinced.

But i am interested in this supposed hole, is it true that it's a no fly zone? How would we find that out?

Maybe its a stargate.

Are any other solar system objects hollow? Why would it be just the earth? The natural shape of form is a sphere....so the earth would have to be unnatural?

Ahh, I love how quick people are to throw the term stargate out as a label for everything they can't explain. No offense of course! I just merely mean, that not everything is, or could be stargate, and until we separate our wishful thinking from truth, than we won't get anywhere. It's best to label things once we know what they are. You wouldn't see a type of fish you've never seen before and call it an elephant. A hole in the earth, a cave, an opening is that that: An opening. To what? Who knows, is it really there? Who knows. Is it a stargate? Probably not. Unless Agartha is a different planet, but that's a stretch to the theory.

Here's a wonderful site that has all sorts of historical and modern evidence to support stargates: http://www.thelivingmoon.com/42stargate/menu.html

And as far as being not convinced about Hollow Earth, take a good look at the 'jumbled list of facts' and the äwesome complilation" that I posted links for. While they might take a while to peruse, there's some really mind blowing facts in there that are all backed up by modern science.

EDIT: I've recently come across something online that spoke of other hollow bodies in our solar system. I'll post back when I find it.

@ stophaarp:

"Thoughts on this broad, far reaching subject"

It's a cave. There are caves in many countries. There is no reason to suggest this one goes anywhere exciting.
