Love is a sense of connection. A familiarity with someone or something.

If you spend enough time with someone your senses become familiar with that person.

Its an emotional drug addiction and you miss it when you are not experiencing it.

And thats why if you lose someone you love it is hard at first ( cold turkey ) but time heals.
You become unfamiliar again.
