I read this story and thought what the hell is all this about.

Even the local press carried a story about a "UFO crash" at Croyland Primary school in Northamptonshire, saying it was there one day and gone the next.
Even the police were "on hand" to cordon the area off and to take "witness statements".

This staged event is so bizarre. They even planned it for the first day of school - for maximum effect?
It was part of a project called - Are you a sceptic? Are you a believer?

Seriously, what the fuck?

A few schools have used this scenaio to date, always with the support of the local rag and local bobbies.. It is supposed to encourage creative writing and increase literacy skills. All I see is squandered budget.

If they really wanted to improve education standards, then why not employ good teachers with good salaries.. Why spend the budget on a PFI to build a new school instead of investing in quality teachers to educate our kids in the old school?

Look at the pic in the OP.. He's not even a real policeman, he's one of those plastic ones (you can tell by the 'Coummunity Support Officer' tag that they label him with) :alien51:
