Yeah, It's a gigantic 500 mile high wall in the middle of Greenland that nobody noticed before and Google forgot to delete...

I agree with the photo glitch theory. But for you forestgrove, here ya go.

If its possible to find out the date of when the satellite took that image, try looking up any information about the weather in that area during that time. look for any large storms, especially extremely windy conditions. Maybe its cover layer of snow was blown off and the satellite just so happened to snap a picture of it at the right time.

This is an older image. I recall seeing this many months ago. It would be advisable to check the location currently and see if the image is still there, or gone, or more clear. Now that makes sense.
