Sometimes people come into your life and you know right away that they were meant to be there, to serve some sort of purpose, teach you a lesson, or help you figure out who you are or who you want to become. You never know who these people may be possibly (your roommate, neighbor, professor, long lost friend or even a complete stranger),but when you lock eyes with them, you know at that very moment they will affect your life in some profound way. And sometimes things happen to you that may seem horrible, painful, and unfair at first, but in reflection you find that without overcoming these obstacles you would have never realized your potential, strength, will power, or heart. Everything happens for a reason. Nothing happens by chance, or by means of good luck. Illness,injury,love, lost moments of true greatness, and sheer stupidity all occur to test the limits of your soul. Without these small tests, what ever they may be, life would be like a smoothly paved, straight, flat road to no where. It would be save and comfortable, but dull and utterly pointless. The people you meet affect your life ,and the success and downfalls you experience, they help to create who you are and who you become. Even the bad experiences can be learned from. Infact, they are probably the most poignant and important ones. If someone hurts you, betrays you or breaks your heart, forgive them, for they have helped you learn about trust and the importance of being cautious when you open your heart. If someone loves you, love them back unconditonally, not only because they love you, but because in the way they are teaching you to love and how to open your heart and eyes to things. Make everyday count. Appreciate every moment and take from those moments everything that you possibly can, for you may never be able to experience it again. Talk to people that you have never talked to before and actually listen. Let yourself fall in love, break free, and set your sights high. Hold your head up because you have every right to. Tell yourself that you are a great individual and believe in yourself, for if you dont believe in yourself, it will be hard for others to believe in you. You can make your life anything you wish. Create your own life and then go out and live it with no regrets. Most importantly if you love someone, tell them, for you never know what tomorrow may have in store for you. Learn a lesson in life each day you live. Today is the tomorrow that you were worried about yesterday.

I've made my peace with death ... but I have yet to make peace with life... but yeah.. gotta be able to go any second and be fine with that ,... every second that your alive... yeah...

walkin down a street,. Boom ... a safe falls on your head... but outlook on life...

I can not even define life at this stage... End time tickets ,.. there are no refunds .. band plays rain or shine...

I do not believe in fate, nor do I believe that everything happens for a reason. Shit happens, and the end result is one of millions that could of happened. Just because something changes does not mean there was a specific reason for it to happen. It is all cause and effect.

Very beautiful words. nice post. Most people get caught up in all the negative, fear, worries, and madness of the world through media and entertainment. We even tend to get too caught up in past bad memmories that we forget to enjoy the NOW and live our life, and how beautiful this world is behind this madness.

I believe everything happens by chance, not fate. It boggles the mind to think of how many forks in the road of life there is though. I had one life saving experience while traveling across country that really shook me up. We were on the interstate, getting ready to cross a large bridge when my ex-wife decided she wanted something to drink so we took the exit right before the bridge. When we got back on the highway, traffic was all backed up because of an accident. It turns out that the tractor trailer we were following and the car in front of it had a collision. The scary thing is that the car behind the truck also collided and the passengers were obviously killed because of the condition of that car, it was quite gruesome. I cold have died that day if it were not for pure luck and the decision to pull off the road at that time. Shit happens like that all the time.
