It was A Saturday morning and My mom and I were heading for the supermarket and run some errands. When we approached the curve at the drive way, this is what we saw.

The Sun and the Moon were next to each other. They were exactly the same size, and the moon's accidents were clearly visible. No eclipse had been scheduled for that day, and none happened, we pulled up and watched in amazement interchanging some words related to what we were seeing.

I assembled the image below which is to the best of my recollection what we saw

The phenomenon lasted about a couple of minutes, after that the moon vanished into the sky in a matter of seconds.

Since then I don't believe they really know what's out there in space.

I don;t know m8. I have observed dozens of moon eclipses, the moon does not appear until its dark circle starts to enter the sun's disk. What was lighting the Moon? I have no idea. Sometimes we talk about this with my mom, she says we were privileged to witness the unexplainable vision.
